Mariners to Promote Cole Young to Major Leagues
Cole Young to the major leagues. Young is currently considered the No. 43-ranked prospect in the sport and the No. 3-ranked in the system. Young has spent the first two months of the season with Triple-A Tacoma. Through his first 54 games at that level, Young has held his own, posting a .277/.392/.461 slash line with 13 doubles, five triples, five home runs, and four stolen bases. He has held a 28:31 K:BB and tallied 39 runs with 26 RBI. Last summer, Young spent his entire season with Double-A and posted a .271/.369/.390 line. Fantasy managers should expect the former 21st overall pick to spend most of his time at the keystone, with J.P. Crawford viewed as the everyday shortstop. Given his production at Triple-A this season, Young is worth adding in all standard formats.
