The Seattle Mariners are expected to promote top infield prospect Cole Young to the major leagues. Young is currently considered the No. 43-ranked prospect in the sport and the No. 3-ranked in the system. Young has spent the first two months of the season with Triple-A Tacoma. Through his first 54 games at that level, Young has held his own, posting a .277/.392/.461 slash line with 13 doubles, five triples, five home runs, and four stolen bases. He has held a 28:31 K:BB and tallied 39 runs with 26 RBI. Last summer, Young spent his entire season with Double-A and posted a .271/.369/.390 line. Fantasy managers should expect the former 21st overall pick to spend most of his time at the keystone, with J.P. Crawford viewed as the everyday shortstop.
