Landen Roupp Going on 15-Day Injured List With Sprained Knee
Landen Roupp (knee) on the 15-day injured list with a sprained left knee, manager Bob Melvin announced. Roupp suffered the injury during an 8-1 loss to the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. He had to be carted off the field after twisting his left knee while trying to get out of the way of a comebacker that struck him on the right leg. Roupp still needs to undergo an MRI, and depending on the diagnosis, he could miss more than two weeks and potentially the rest of the season. The 26-year-old has only made two starts since he returned from a three-week stay on the IL with elbow inflammation on Aug. 15. Roupp has gone 7-7 with a 3.80 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and 102:45 K:BB over 22 starts and 106 2/3 innings this season.
