Jazz Chisholm Jr. 2024 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Toolsy Outfielder Will Have You Rolling The Dice On Draft Day
11 months agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. has the ability to produce across nearly every offensive category in fantasy baseball. Still, injuries have kept the Bahamian from producing at the level he is capable of. The injury history reads like an anatomy book – hamstring and shoulder problems in 2021, lower back issues in 2022, and toe and oblique issues in 2023. These injuries resulted in no more than 124 games being played in a season over the last three years. In his 2022 All-Star campaign, the lefty had an OPS of .860, 136 wRC+, and was on pace for 35 HR before his season was cut short. In 2023, the former face of MLB The Show '23 tallied just 383 plate appearances in 97 games, but given 600 PA/145 G, his final line was pacing for .250-30-80-78-34. His FGDC projection for 2024 looks similar: .245-27-82-76-27 over 138 G with a WOBA of .327 and wRC+ of 104. The speedster currently has an NFBC ADP of 68, but RotoBaller is a little higher on Chisholm, ranking him at 59. If the health risk is too rich for your taste, Josh Lowe could offer "Chisholm-Lite" production around pick 76 without the health concerns.
