Evan Carter Could Miss Rest of Season With Fractured Wrist
Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said on 105.3 The Fan that outfielder Evan Carter (wrist) could be out for the rest of the season after being diagnosed with a fractured wrist. "They did find a fracture there, that's a pretty big hit," Bochy said. "We'll get him back, we'll just stay positive on this end as far as his health, because it's been a tough road for him. I feel for the kid. This is a freak injury." The 22-year-old was hit in his right wrist by a pitch in Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals, and X-rays revealed what will likely be a season-ending fracture. It's an unfortunate and unlucky injury, but Carter has proven very injury-prone early in his MLB career. Now that he's likely out the rest of the way, look for the Rangers to split center-field duties among Alejandro Osuna and Cody Freeman. Carter has exactly five home runs in each of the last three seasons and also stole a career-high 14 bases in 2025.
