Bryson Stott Dealing with a Hyperextended Elbow
Bryson Stott (elbow) may get at least Tuesday off after hyperextending his elbow on a swing on Monday, according to manager Rob Thomson. Stott was able to finish the game, but will undergo further evaluation to see if he needs some downtime to recover. The team will be cautious with the 27-year-old lefty to avoid the issue getting worse. Stott has struggled his season and is batting just .236 with four homers, a .283 wOBA, and only a 26.9% hard-hit rate. Now that he's also battling an injury, fantasy managers in standard-sized leagues may want to consider alternatives from the waiver wire. Stott has good power and speed potential, but hasn't been able to live up to it yet this season.
