The Philadelphia Eagles have had positive momentum a few times for a potential trade of wide receiver A.J. Brown in recent weeks and days, but nothing has come together. The NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that the situation with free-agent tight end Dallas Goedert is a big piece of why Brown has yet to be traded. Goedert has a void date in his contract, which, if triggered, would be a $20 million salary cap. It's why the Eagles have pushed back the void date twice on Goedert's contract to buy them more time in Brown trade talks. Garafolo adds that Goedert and Brown are "sort of interconnected." "They can't pay Goedert if they are keeping Brown, and they can't take both cap hits." There isn't any real momentum for a trade of Brown right now, and The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported earlier on Friday that Brown won't be traded at this time. Garafolo thinks general manager Howie Roseman will engage in more trade talks over the weekend. For fantasy purposes, Brown won't necessarily have more upside if the Eagles trade him, but Goedert's fantasy value would become much more stable if he stays and Brown goes.--Keith Hernandez
