Mid-Week Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Baseball Pickups: Brooks Lee, Jacob Wilson, Jeffrey Springs, Lawrence Butler, Michael Toglia

Lawrence Butler - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News

Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 17 (2024). Free-agent hitters and pitchers to add include Brooks Lee, Jacob Wilson, Jeffrey Springs, Lawrence Butler, Michael Toglia, Max Meyer.

Hey, RotoBallers, the grind never stops, even though we are in the middle of the All-Star break. It's time to scroll through the waiver wire and pick up potential players for the second-half run with the ultimate goal of helping you win a fantasy baseball championship. We are back with another edition of our mid-week waiver rankings for Week 17 -- July 15 through July 21 -- article to help you stay on top of the waiver wire, especially in leagues that allow daily moves. The Chicago White Sox recently called up shortstop Brooks Baldwin, while the Oakland A's called up top prospect Jacob Wilson. Other top prospects, such as Jordan Walker, Junior Caminero, Coby Mayo, Max Meyer, and Deyvison De Los Santos, patiently await the call to the big leagues.

Some notable recent performances include Oakland A's Lawrence Butler. The 24-year-old has been on fire in July, slashing .317/.349/.854 with seven home runs, 17 RBI, and 10 runs over 12 games. Butler has mashed five home runs over his last seven contests. Since his promotion on July 7, Cincinnati Reds rookie outfielder Rece Hinds has homered five times and driven in 11 runs over his first seven big league games. Injuries continue to pile up as Kansas City Royals catcher/outfielder MJ Melendez was placed on the injured list while Carlos Correa and Luis Arraez remain day-to-day with injuries.

This edition features players such as Rece Hinds, Brooks Lee, Jeffrey Springs, Lawrence Butler, Michael Toglia, Max Meyer, Drew Thorpe, Christian Scott, Dylan Crews, Coby Mayo, LaMonte Wade Jr., and Spencer Arrighetti. We're here, as always, to help you stay on top of the latest waiver-wire options, especially in leagues that allow for daily moves. Prospects who are making impacts continue to be called up, so you'll need to be informed. Be sure to stay on top of our weekly waiver wire rankings and turn on MLB news alerts to stay ahead of the curve. Once you're done here, check out our fantasy baseball prospects articles for the latest names to stash and pick up.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List

For anyone unfamiliar, we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free-agent adds off waivers.

In addition, we are also putting out a second waiver wire rankings list mid-week. Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver-wire moves or multiple waiver-wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday.

This article will guide you with our weekly ranking for the relevant waiver-wire pickup options, including how to prioritize them for your league (depending on the league size). Roster % is from Yahoo leagues.
