Recent Update

6/10:Colorado Rockies right-hander Jeff Hoffman won after allowing one run on four hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings on Saturday against the Cubs. The rookie has been unstoppable on the mound this season, winning each of his four starts thus far with a pristine 2.33 ERA backed by a 2.45 FIP and 3.07 xFIP with 27 innings under his belt. He isn't just getting by with soft contact, as his 34 strikeouts and subsequent 11.33 K/9 against just three walks makes for true fantasy gold. While his next start isn't guaranteed with starter Tyler Anderson returning to the rotation and Jon Gray likely coming back into the fold in two or three weeks, but if nothing else, this has shown that his prospect hype has been justified. Hoffman has done everything in his power to cement himself in the rotation and perhaps push aside starter German Marquez instead. Stay tuned.--Nick Mariano - RotoBaller
