Before landing on the IL in May, Marte was playing well, slashing .290/.338/.507 with three home runs, 17 RBI, and four stolen bases through 20 games. In his return from the injured list, Marte slashed .255/.289/.432 with 11 home runs and six steals. He also increased his BB% from 3.7% in 2024 to 4.4% in 2025 while decreasing his K% 31.0% to 23.6%. The main issue with Marte is that he has missed time due to suspensions and injuries. He was suspended for 80 games in 2024 for PEDs and was limited to 90 games last season due to an oblique injury. The former top prospect has 20/20 upside if he can stay on the field and has dual eligibility at third base and outfield. Marte is projected to hit second in the Reds lineup that includes Elly De La Cruz, TJ Friedl, and Spencer Steer, while playing half of his games in hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park.
