MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Gerrit Cole UNDER 7.5 strikeouts (-150 DraftKings Sportsbook)

This is a solid number on COle to start the day, and I would even play under 6.5 here. He has only gone over this prop total in one start this season and has struggled to put up high K totals since the sticky ban went into place in the middle of 2021. He has a somewhat tough matchup in this one against the Rangers as well as they are posting a 23.1% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks.

Shane Bieber  UNDER 6.5 strikeouts (-150 DraftKings Sportsbook)

Bieber will be facing the Blue Jays tonight who are posting a K rate of just 22.6% vs. right-handed pitchers over the previous two weeks, which is ranked in the top half of baseball. Bieber has struck out more than 6.5 in just two starts this season, one of which came against the dreadful Athletics. This number should be close, but the lean is certainly under here as Toronto is more than capable of getting to Bieber in this.

Kevin Gausman  OVER 6.5 strikeouts (+105 DraftKings Sportsbook)

We have a little juice with this one on Gausman and that is why I like taking a look at him over 6.5 strikeouts here. He has eclipsed this prop total in each of his previous four starts and has done it with ease as the lowest total he has had in those four games is eight strikeouts. The Guardians have posted a respectable K rate of 21.6% vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, but this should still be high enough for Gausman to get over 6.5.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Andrew Benintendi OVER 1.5 total bases (+100 DraftKings Sportsbook)

This is a great matchup for Benintendi as he is currently posting a .921 OPS with two doubles, one triple, and one home run against right-handed pitchers across 63 at-bats. He will be facing Jordan Lyles who has struggled quite a bit against left-handed hitters in 2022. Across 8 2/3 innings pitched vs. lefties, Lyles has allowed three bombs and has paired that with an 8.06 FIP. Benni makes for a solid DFS play tonight as well.
