Jeremiah Jackson Exits After Getting Hit in the Elbow
Jeremiah Jackson (elbow) was hit in the right elbow by a pitch in the eighth inning of Tuesday's 3-2 extra innings win over the Pirates, and he then exited the game. The 25-year-old had homered earlier in the game, his fifth since being called up at the beginning of August. The former second-round draft pick has outperformed expectations since arriving, slashing .314/.346/.521 in 33 games with the O's. The right-handed slugger should be considered day-to-day for now. If he is back in the lineup on Wednesday, he'll have a tall test against the Pirates' Paul Skenes.
