Michael Arroyo Headed to Double-A Arkansas
Michael Arroyo is headed to Double-A Arkansas after a strong 65-game stint at High-A to begin the year. The Mariners' seventh-ranked prospect slashed .269/.422/.512 with 15 home runs and a solid 12.7 percent walk rate. The 20-year-old hit 23 home runs in 485 at-bats last year between Single-A and High-A, while swiping 18 bases. He looks to be on track to exceed that home run total from last season, but the steals have dipped, recording just three this year and on pace for only six. The diminutive Colombian has solid all-around tools and an ETA of 2026 per MLB's top prospects list, so his progress is worth keeping tabs on.
