Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Targets: Wide Receivers and Tight Ends To Buy in 2025

Tucker Kraft - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Justin's dynasty fantasy football trade targets for wide receivers and tight ends. Which WRs and TEs should fantasy football managers target in 2025? Read the expert dynasty analysis.

My friend Josh used to make me listen to the Bring Me The Horizon song "Diamonds Aren't Forever," which begins with the line "We will never sleep, cause sleep is for the weak." That sentiment rings true in fantasy football dynasty leagues as well. You can't get complacent. You can't stop thinking about how to improve your team. You have to stay awake and make moves.

But what moves should you make this offseason? Who are some undervalued players you can grab via trade to help beef up your team and put you in a better position to win going forward?

Below are five wide receivers and tight ends you should be buying in dynasty leagues.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Jameson Williams - WR - Detroit Lions

Jameson Williams entered the league as a project. As a rookie, he caught just one pass, though it was an impressive one as he hauled in a 41-yard touchdown. That was the only one of his nine targets that turned into a reception, though.

He progressed into a larger role in 2023 but still didn't produce much. It wasn't until 2024 that we finally saw Williams take the explosiveness he'd flashed in his first two seasons and figure out how to do it more consistently. Williams finished the year with 58 catches for 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns.

The former first-round pick has the tools to be one of the league's top receivers, and in 2024, he harnessed those tools. Fantasy managers should be high on him heading into this offseason.

But it turns out they aren't. Our rankers have him at WR30 right now in dynasty, and FantasyPros' dynasty trade value chart gives him 50 value points, tied with Jerry Jeudy for 26th at the position.

This all just feels too low. The big knock on Williams was that he couldn't produce outside of his big plays, but he showcased in 2024 that he could. This is a good time to grab him via trade.

Quentin Johnston - WR - Los Angeles Chargers

After a disastrous rookie year, Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston had a much better sophomore NFL campaign, catching 55 passes for 711 yards and eight touchdowns.

While the former first-round pick doesn't look like he'll live up to his draft position, he could still wind up being the Chargers' new version of Mike Williams, a tall receiver who can make plays in the red zone and serve as a solid No. 2 option.

There's a risk to acquiring him because he hasn't looked particularly good so far, but he's also way down at WR67 in our dynasty rankings. Rookies like Elic Ayomanor and Jalen Royals are ahead of him.

You can likely add Johnston for a mid-second-round rookie pick. A guy you draft at 2.07 probably has more theoretical upside than Johnston, but Johnston feels like a safer bet based on his touchdown scoring from 2024.

Rashod Bateman - WR - Baltimore Ravens

Stuck down at WR71 in our dynasty rankings, it's not going to be tough to acquire Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman this offseason. Like with Johnston, a mid-second should get it done.

Bateman isn't a league-winning receiver, but he showed his importance to the Ravens last season, posting the best numbers of his four-year career. Bateman caught 45 passes for 756 yards and nine touchdowns.

At this point, Bateman's ceiling isn't much higher than those 2024 numbers, but he should have a high floor going forward as he's earned Lamar Jackson's trust as the No. 2 receiver in Baltimore. He's under contract for two more seasons, so that shouldn't change soon.

Sometimes you need guys who you can plug in as a WR3 or WR4 play, even if they don't have elite upside. Bateman is one of those guys.

Tucker Kraft - TE - Green Bay Packers

Tucker Kraft's production petered out a bit as the season went along, but his strong start to the year shows how good Kraft can be. In the first nine weeks of the season, Kraft was a top-12 fantasy tight end five times. Over the final eight, he achieved that distinction just twice.

Still, even with him fading late, Kraft finished the year with 50 receptions for 707 yards. He found the end zone seven times and ranked fifth at tight end for yards after the catch.

Kraft did this while ranking just 17th among tight ends in targets. He was a victim of a very crowded receiver room in Green Bay.

At some point, the Packers are going to thin that position out, and Kraft's going to benefit from that. If he's competing with three other players instead of five others for opportunities, he'll get the targets needed to shine.

Chig Okonkwo - TE - Tennessee Titans

There were a number of people who were on board for a Chig Okonkwo breakout in 2024 but it never materialized. However, late in the year, it started to look like there were signs it might finally start arriving.

Not counting the final game of the year when Okonkwo was injured and played three snaps, the Titans tight end was targeted 28 times in his final three games. He averaged 7.3 catches for 60.7 yards over that span. It was a strong end to the year.

It also reignited the Okonkwo hype, but not nearly at the same level as it was before 2024. He's RotoBaller's TE26 in dynasty right now, and the fact that he's below players like Ben Sinnott and Cole Kmet just feels wrong.

Maybe the more important reason to buy Okonkwo right now is that he's dirt cheap. FantasyPros assigns him just 10 trade value points, which is the equivalent of a mid-to-late third in dynasty rookie drafts.

If you need a tight end, giving up something like the 3.07 for Okonkwo feels like a win. The two best tight ends in this draft are Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland, who will both be gone in the first round or early in the second round.
