Third Base Fantasy Baseball Draft Values
Eugenio Suarez, Cincinnati Reds
After hitting 49 home runs last year, Eugenio Suarez returns to the club where he hit 49 homers in 2019. The move back to Cincinnati and their hitter-friendly ballpark should be a boost to Suarez, and another 40+ homer season is certainly plausible. Last year's 14.3% barrel% ranked in the 89th percentile, which went a long way to helping Suarez match his career-high in homers.
Suarez's power is also aided by his availability. He's only missed seven games in the last three seasons and missed a total of 70 games over the last 10 seasons. Suarez will likely see a lot of time as the Reds' designated hitter in 2026, so that should help the slugger remain healthy.
As good as his situation is heading into this year, there is some caution surrounding Suarez. His .228 batting average was a drag on his fantasy value, and with a .211 xBA (expected batting average), it could've been worse.
If Suarez does stay healthy, he could easily have a third straight season with 100 RBI and 90 runs. Another 40-homer season isn't out of the question. Just don't expect his batting average to improve much, if at all, and ensure the makeup of your roster can cope with it.

Alex Bregman, Chicago Cubs
Third baseman Alex Bregman was viewed as one of the top infielders on the open market this winter. After being linked to several teams, he opted to sign a five-year, $175 million contract with the Chicago Cubs. After spending the first nine seasons of his career with the Astros, Bregman moved to Boston in 2025 and held a .273/.360/.462 line with an .822 OPS. He hit 18 home runs and added 28 doubles across 114 contests.
He continues to maintain an elite 14.1% K % (88th percentile) and drew walks at a 10.3% rate (73rd percentile), providing him a boost in points leagues. However, moving to Wrigley Field, his upside could be limited due to the dimensions of the park. Per Statcast Park Factors, Bregman would have actually hit one more home run (19) if he were on the Cubs last season, but would have seen his doubles decrease significantly.
Over the last three seasons, Wrigley Field has the lowest score in terms of doubles by right-handed bats, which will hinder Bregman's upside in points leagues, as he has typically sat near the top of the sport in doubles each season.
While his power production and counting stats should remain high in Chicago, managers expecting 25+ doubles should temper their expectations. His slight drop in upside pushes him to the low-end range of starting third basemen. He is a fine target at his current 117.5 ADP on NFBC drafts.

Noelvi Marte, Cincinnati Reds
Cincinnati Reds third baseman/outfielder Noelvi Marte slashed .263/.300/.448 with 14 home runs, 51 RBI, 45 runs, 10 stolen bases, and a .326 wOBA over 90 games in 2025. Marte started the season in Triple-A and was called up to the big leagues in mid-April. He suffered a Grade 2 oblique injury in May and did not return from the injured list until July 4.
Before landing on the IL in May, Marte was playing well, slashing .290/.338/.507 with three home runs, 17 RBI, and four stolen bases through 20 games. In his return from the injured list, Marte slashed .255/.289/.432 with 11 home runs and six steals. He also increased his BB% from 3.7% in 2024 to 4.4% in 2025 while decreasing his K% 31.0% to 23.6%.
Noelvi Marte Projected for Larger Role in 2026 https://t.co/9gPDGinWzC
— RotoBaller MLB (@RotoBallerMLB) February 8, 2026
The main issue with Marte is that he has missed time due to suspensions and injuries. He was suspended for 80 games in 2024 for PEDs and was limited to 90 games last season due to an oblique injury. The former top prospect has 20/20 upside if he can stay on the field and has dual eligibility at third base and outfield.
Marte is projected to hit second in the Reds lineup that includes Elly De La Cruz, TJ Friedl, and Spencer Steer, while playing half of his games in hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park. He's an intriguing pick in the middle rounds as ATC projects Marte with a .250/.300/.409 slash line with 17 home runs, 15 steals, and a .307wOBA across 537 plate appearances.
Marte currently has an NFBC ADP of 133, which aligns with his RotoBaller ranking of 130. If Marte can stay healthy, he could easily hit 20-plus homers and swipe close to 20 bags in 2026, making him a solid pick at his current ADP.

Maikel Garcia, Kansas City Royals
After giving us glimpses in 2023 and 2024, Kansas City Royals infielder Maikel Garcia enjoyed a breakout season in 2025 on many levels. While he only stole 23 bags after having 37 in 2024, Garcia set new career-best marks with 170 hits, 39 doubles, 16 home runs, 74 RBI, and 62 walks to go along with 81 runs and a .286/.351/.449 slash line. This performance has pushed Garcia's 2026 ADP well within the Top-100 picks, a price worth paying to roster him.
Garcia continued to post an above-average hard-hit rate and AVG EV last season while improving his walk and strikeout rates to career-best marks of 9.3% and 12.6%, respectively. All while maintaining his elite 90.6% zone and 85% overall contact rate and improving his batted ball angles a bit. If Garcia's better batted ball angles can carry over into 2026, a 20-homer season could be in the cards with Kansas City moving the fences in.

Addison Barger, Toronto Blue Jays
Given where his ADP is, it appears that Toronto Blue Jays infielder Addison Barger's 2025 season flew slightly under the radar. In 502 plate appearances, Barger racked up 32 doubles and 21 home runs with 74 RBI, 61 runs scored, and a .243/.301/.454.
Sure, that doesn't blow you away, but the metrics hint at further success in 2026, primarily in the power department. Barger recorded an impressive 11.4% barrel rate, 91.7 mph AVG EV, and a 51% hard-hit rate last season, the last two of which ranked in the Top-15 percent of hitters along with his 93rd percentile bat speed.
"He got his graduation papers in the Postseason last year, he's no longer a kid. I think the ceiling is so high for him..."

— MLB Network (@MLBNetwork) February 20, 2026
Barger also hit the ball at ideal angles, specifically his 43.7% air rate and 21.1% pull air rate. A 30-homer season in 2026 shouldn't be out of the question, as well as a higher batting average, as Barger's contact rates were around league average. He's a great redraft target with his ADP sitting around pick 200.
