Tylor Megill Throws 79 Pitches in Triple-A Rehab Start
Tylor Megill (elbow) made his fourth rehab start on Tuesday and struggled in a 4-3 loss for Triple-A Syracuse. Megill lasted four innings and surrendered three earned runs on six hits and two walks. On the positive side, Megill struck out five hitters and was able to throw 79 pitches. It's unclear if Megill, who's building back up as a starter, will need another rehab outing before potentially rejoining the Mets' rotation. The 30-year-old has missed almost three months of action after going on the 60-day injured list with a sprained elbow on June 17. Before landing on the shelf, Megill went 5-5 with a 3.95 ERA, a 1.36 WHIP, and 89:33 K:BB across 14 starts and 68 1/3 innings.
