Mats Zuccarello Agrees to One-Year Deal With Kings

Right wing Mats Zuccarello has joined the Los Angeles Kings for the 2026-27 NHL campaign. After seven years with the Minnesota Wild, Zuccarello signed a one-year contract with the Kings. He will have a base salary of $1 million, but the Norwegian veteran could earn up to an additional $5.5 million in performance bonuses. Although Zuccarello celebrated his 38th birthday in September, he performed at a high level, averaging nearly a point per game in 2025-26. In 59 outings, Zuccarello posted 15 goals and 39 assists. As a talented playmaker, Zuccarello appears to be an excellent addition to a Kings team that struggled to score goals last season.--Taavi Pailk
