Emmet Sheehan to Join Dodgers Six-Man Rotation
Emmet Sheehan will join the team's six-man starting rotation going forward and will start on Tuesday in L.A. against the visiting St. Louis Cardinals, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register. Right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto will go on Sunday in the series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays and right-hander Tyler Glasnow will get Monday's series opener against the Cards. Shohei Ohtani will slot in on Wednesday for the series finale against St. Louis. The 25-year-old Sheehan will essentially be taking the rotation spot of Dustin May, who was traded to Boston this week. Tuesday's start against St. Louis will be his fifth start of the year. Sheehan has been decent in only six MLB outings in 2025, posting a 3.60 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 26:10 K:BB. He'll be useful for starting depth in deeper fantasy leagues until Roki Sasaki (shoulder) returns.
