Colston Loveland Hard to Trust Despite Ideal Matchup Against 49ers
Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland hauled in three of five targets for 30 yards in the 22-16 overtime victory over the Green Bay Packers. Despite injuries to wide receivers Rome Odunze (foot) and Luther Burden III (ankle), Loveland failed to exceed expectations against the Packers. While Week 17 marked the first week since Week 9 that Loveland played more snaps than Cole Kmet, Kmet remains a significant factor in this Bears offense, playing 77% of the snaps last week. This 49ers defense has allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to tight ends this season, but injuries in the secondary could open doors for Loveland and the entire receiving core this week. The rookie tight end has been a bust this season due to limited usage in this offense, and once again, should not be trusted this week with fantasy championships on the line.
