2024 NFL Draft Re-Do: Full First-Round Shuffle

Bo Nix - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS Picks

A Re-do of the opening round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Which teams made the best and works pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Read the top picks including Drake Maye, Caleb Williams, Bo Nix, more

With the 2026 NFL Draft slowly approaching, let's take a look back at a full year and re-draft the opening round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

In this redo, we will give each "original" holder of the pick their respective slot back, as if any "Draft Day" trades had not occurred. On Draft Day, the Vikings traded up with the Jets. In this redo, the Jets will instead hold their original pick. However, any Pre-Draft trades will still be taken into account (Panthers trading first overall pick to the Bears).

What would the 2024 NFL Draft look like two years later? Let's dive in!

Pick 1: Chicago Bears

Original Pick - Caleb Williams, QB

New Pick - Caleb Williams, QB

The Bears will once again select Caleb Williams with the first overall pick. While he showed signs of not being worthy of the selection in his debut season, he smashed all expectations as a sophomore. En route to leading the Bears to an NFC North title, Williams threw for 3,942 yards and added 388 yards with his legs. He combined for 30 scores and threw only seven interceptions.

Pick 2: Washington Commanders

Original Pick - Jayden Daniels, QB

New Pick - Jayden Daniels, QB

Even though his sophomore season was limited by injuries, Jayden Daniels showed he was more than worth the selection at the No. 2 spot as a rookie. In his debut season, Daniels led the Commanders not only back to the postseason but to the NFC title game. In his first campaign, Daniels scored 31 total TDs with 3,568 passing and 891 rushing yards. In the postseason, he averaged 319 total yards per game with six total scores.

Pick 3: New England Patriots

Original Pick -  Drake Maye, QB

New Pick - Drake Maye, QB

Following suit, the Patriots will continue the redo, selecting the same player they initially selected in Drake Maye. Maye had an underwhelming rookie season due to the lack of talent around him. However, as a sophomore, Maye emerged as a legit MVP candidate and brought the Patriots to the Super Bowl. In his breakout season, the UNC product threw for 4,934 yards, ran for 450, and scored 35 total TDs (31 passing) with only eight interceptions.

Pick 4: Arizona Cardinals

Original Pick - Marvin Harrison Jr., WR

New Pick - Bo Nix, QB

For the first time, the redo will take a different path. With the No. 4 selection, the Cardinals will find their next franchise QB in Bo Nix. While Kyler Murray was viewed as the franchise option in 2024, his disappointing 2025 season has put his long-term job security in question. Nix has brought the Broncos to the playoffs in both of his first two seasons. In 2025, the former Oregon Duck posted a 30:11 TD:INT with a career-high 3,931 passing yards.

Pick 5: Los Angeles Chargers

Original Pick - Joe Alt, OT

New Pick - Brock Bowers, TE

While Joe Alt was in close consideration, the Chargers will pair Justin Herbert with a budding superstar in Brock Bowers. While his 2025 season was hindered by injuries, Brock Bowers emerged as one of the top TEs in his debut season. In 2024, Bowers brought in 112 of his hefty 153 targets for 1,194 yards and five scores. Bowers would give Herbert another high-end option in the passing game.

Pick 6: New York Giants

Original Pick - Malik Nabers, WR

New Pick - Malik Nabers, WR

The Giants will take a WR once again and reunite with Malik Nabers, who will be the WR in the redo, jumping ahead of Marvin Harrison Jr. While his 2025 season was cut short by a torn ACL, Nabers emerged as one of the top wideouts in the sport in his debut season, despite having subpar QB play. Nabers would bring in 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven scores. The LSU wideout would showcase big-play upside, catching 16 passes for more than 20 yards and two for more than 40 yards.

Pick 7: Tennessee Titans

Original Pick - JC Latham, OT

New Pick - Jared Verse, DE

The Titans will bolster their defense by taking Jared Verse at the No. 7 slot. Verse took home 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year honors as he tallied 66 total tackles (36 solo) with 4.5 sacks, two deflections, and two forced fumbles. As a sophomore, Verse would increase his sack total to 7.5 and force three fumbles. In 2025, Verse earned the 11th-highest Overall PFF Grade among defensive ends.

Pick 8: Atlanta Falcons

Original Pick - Michael Penix Jr., QB

New Pick - Joe Alt, OT

With the Falcons opting not re-draft Michael Penix Jr., they will instead bolster their offensive line with the top prospect from the class, Joe Alt. Alt has served as the primary left tackle in Los Angeles in each of his two seasons. In 2024, Alt appeared in 16 games but saw his 2025 season limited, starting only five games due to an ankle injury.

Despite the missed time, Alt would dominate a pass blocker, earning the sixth-highest Pass Blocking Grade on PFF this past season and the 17th-highest Overall Grade at his position.

Pick 9: Chicago Bears

Original Pick - Rome Odunze, WR

New Pick - Quinyon Mitchell, DB

Quinyon Mitchell has emerged as a star in the Philadelphia secondary and will move up to the top-10 in the redo. Mitchell is coming off a strong sophomore season in which he totaled 45 tackles (35 solo), 17 pass deflections, and one fumble recovery. According to PFF, Mitchell earned the 16th-highest Overall Grade among defensive backs.

Pick 10: New York Jets

Original Pick - J.J. McCarthy, QB (via trade with Vikings)

New Pick - Michael Penix Jr., QB

With the Jets opting to stay in the No. 10 spot and not trade down, they will take a chance on their next franchise QB, Michael Penix Jr. While Penix has not lived up to his early-round selection, the Jets have been looking for a long-term answer at this position for quite some time. Through nine games in 2025, Penix showed flashes at times, throwing for 1,982 yards with a 10:3 TD:INT (nine passing). Penix eclipsed the 200-yard passing mark in five games, but only threw two or more passing scores in two.

Pick 11: Minnesota Vikings

Original Pick - Olu Fashanu (selected by the New York Jets)

New Pick - Cooper DeJean, DB

While one of the remaining top WRs was in strong consideration, given that Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison are among the sport's top WR duos, they will instead add to the secondary as they select Cooper DeJean. DeJean has emerged as a star cornerback in Philadelphia. After a strong rookie season, the Iowa product logged a hefty 93 tackles in 2025 and earned an elite 77.3 Overall Grade on PFF, the seventh-highest among all defensive backs this past season.

Pick 12: Denver Broncos

Original Pick - Bo Nix, QB

New Pick - Ladd McConkey, WR

The Broncos will add a top WR in Ladd McConkey to their roster. With Courtland Sutton serving as the outside WR, McConkey will fill a much-needed void in the slot. While he had a somewhat quiet 2025 season, McConkey emerged as a rising star at his position in his rookie season. In 2024, McConkey brought in 82 receptions for 1,149 yards and seven scores.

Pick 13: Las Vegas Raiders

Original Pick - Brock Bowers, TE

New Pick - Marvin Harrison Jr., WR

The Raiders will follow suit and select a WR in Marvin Harrison Jr. While Harrison was the first WR selected in the original 2024 draft, he would fall to the No. 3 slot, sitting behind Nabers and McConkey. In his debut season, Harrison showed a nose for the end zone, scoring eight touchdowns across 17 games. In his sophomore season, Harrison missed time due to injury, but continued to develop, tallying 594 yards and four scores through his first 10 games.

Pick 14: New Orleans Saints

Original Pick - Tailese Fuaga, OT

New Pick - Rome Odunze, WR

The Saints will round out this WR-run with Rome Odunze out of Washington. After the first half of the 2025 season, Odunze appeared to be in contention to be the No. 2 WR in the class behind Nabers, but saw his production decline significantly in the back half. Following a lingering foot injury, Odunze would catch just 11 passes over his last five games. In his first 10, Odunze totaled 559 yards with an eye-catching six scores.

Pick 15: Indianapolis Colts

Original Pick - Laiatu Latu, DE

New Pick - Laiatu Latu, DE

The Colts made an excellent selection with Laiatu Latu in the original draft and will select him again in the redo. The UCLA product had a quiet debut season, totaling just 4.0 sacks, but took a massive step forward in Year 2. As a sophomore, Latu would log 8.5 sacks with a career-best 45 tackles. Per PFF, Latu would earn the 10th-highest Overall Grade among linebackers.

Pick 16: Seattle Seahawks

Original Pick -  Byron Murphy II, DT

New Pick - Brian Thomas Jr., WR

The Seahawks will find a top complement to Jaxon Smith-Njigba in Brian Thomas Jr., a former LSU standout. After his rookie season, Thomas was making the case to be viewed as the same tier as Nabers. However, following a somewhat disappointing sophomore season, Thomas fell to the middle of the opening round. In his rookie year, Thomas tallied 1,282 yards with 10 touchdowns. In his second season, he caught only two touchdown passes with 707 yards.

Pick 17: Jacksonville Jaguars

Original Pick - Dallas Turner DE (selected by Vikings in trade)

New Pick -  Dallas Turner, DE

While Turner was initially selected in this same spot by the Vikings following a trade, he will still go 17th overall, but this time to the Jaguars. Turner had a quiet debut season, logging only 20 tackles with 3.0 sacks. However, like Latu, Tuner would take on a much larger role in Year 2. In his age-22 season, the Alabama product would tally 8.0 sacks with an impressive four forced fumbles.

Pick 18: Cincinnati Bengals

Original Pick - Armarius Mims, OT

New Pick - Olu Fashanu, OT

The Bengals will take the top offensive tackle on the board, Olu Fashanu out of Penn State, to bolster their offensive line to protect Joe Burrow. Fashanu has served a key role on the Jets' offense in each of his first two seasons. In his sophomore season, Fashanu still struggled in run blocking situations but showed massive progress as a pass blocker, earning the 27th-highest Pass Blocking Grade on PFF at his position.

Pick 19: Los Angeles Rams

Original Pick - Jared Verse, DE

New Pick - Byron Murphy II, DT

The Rams struck gold with Jared Verse in this slot and will once again select a defensive lineman, this time Byron Murphy II. Murphy had a limited role in his debut season in Seattle, tallying just 12 solo tackles with a mere 0.5 sacks. However, in 2025, Murphy emerged as an impact player on the defensive line, totaling 62 tackles with 7.0 sacks. Per PFF, he ranked the 25th-highest grade among defensive tackles.

Pick 20: Pittsburgh Steelers

Original Pick -  Troy Fautanu, OG

New Pick - Zach Frazier, C

The Steelers selected Frazier in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft but will instead opt to lock up their long-term center with the first selection in the redo. Frazier has emerged as one of the sport's budding centers. According to PFF, the West Virginia product placed eighth among centers in Overall Grade last season and earned the fifth-highest Passing Blocking Grade.

Pick 21: Miami Dolphins

Original Pick -  Chop Robinson, DE

New Pick - J.J. McCarthy, QB

McCarthy was a top-10 selection in the original 2024 draft but will fall to the back half of the redo. With the Dolphins not having a long-term solution at the QB position, they will take a shot at the former National Champion. After missing his entire rookie season, McCarthy had mixed results in his "debut" season in 2025. However, over his last four games, the Michigan product showed signs of growth, averaging 175.8 passing yards per game with a 7:2 TD:INT.

Pick 22: Philadelphia Eagles

Original Pick -  Quinyon Mitchell, DB

New Pick - Braden Fiske, DT

With both Mitchell and DeJean off the board and several of the top edge rushers, the Eagles will select Braden Fiske out of Florida State. Fiske was initially a second-round pick by the Rams. In his debut season, Fiske immediately made an impact, totaling an impressive 8.5 sacks with 44 total tackles. While he took a step back in Year 2 (with only 3.0 sacks), Fiske has shown enough signs of potential to warrant a late first-round selection.

Pick 23: Minnesota Vikings

Original Pick - Brian Thomas Jr., WR (selected by Jaguars)

New Pick - Chop Robinson, LB

The Vikings will select defensive end Chop Robinson with the 23rd pick. In the actual draft, this pick was moved to Jacksonville, where they selected Thomas out of LSU. Robinson went a few picks earlier (No. 21) in the real draft but will still hold his value as a late first rounder. In his debut season with the Dolphins, Robinson was quite productive, totaling 6.0 sacks with four deflections. However, in his second season, Robinson took a bit of a step back, logging only four sacks across 15 games. Expect a major bounce-back for Robinson in Year 3.

Pick 24: Dallas Cowboys

Original Pick - Terrion Arnold, DB (selected by Lions in trade)

New Pick - Amarius Mims, OT

The Cowboys will look to strengthen their tackle position with Amarius Mims out of Georgia. Mims was selected with the 18th overall pick in the first edition and will take a bit of a dip in the redo. In 2025, Mims finished above the average offensive tackle, in terms of PFF grade, earning a 67.6 Overall Grade. While he struggled in rushing situations, he was effective as a Pass Bocker, which will fit the pass-heavy Dallas offense.

Pick 25: Green Bay Packers

Original Pick - Jordan Morgan, OT

New Pick - Edgerrin Cooper, LB

Like the Steelers, the Packers will select a player they drafted later in the 2024 Draft with their first-round selection. Cooper was taken with the 45th overall pick and has performed as a first-round-caliber player in his first two NFL seasons. After logging a solid 87 tackles as a rookie, Cooper posted a much higher 118 total tackles in 2025 with four deflections and two forced fumbles. His 75.0 Overall Grade places him 17th among all linebackers according to PFF.

Pick 26: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Original Pick -  Graham Barton, C

New Pick - Nate Wiggins, DB

The Buccaneers will opt to strengthen their secondary with Nate Wiggins. Wiggins was selected a few picks later by the Ravens (30th overall) out of Clemson. While Wiggins had a quiet rookie season, logging only 33 tackles, he took on a lead role in Year 2. In 2025, Wiggins would tally three interceptions and increase his tackle total to 76. His 65.7 Overall Grade on PFF placed him 44th among all defensive backs in 2025.

Pick 27: Arizona Cardinals

Original Pick - Darius Robinson, DE

New Pick - JC Latham, OT

Initially a top-10 pick, JC Latham will go near the bottom of the opening round. Latham was selected seventh overall by the Titans. While he has performed well, he has not lived up to his early selection. In 2025, Latham was shifted to the right tackle after operating as a left tackle in his debut season. He showed some growing pains in this positional change, allowing eight sacks (per PFF) and earning an average of 66.2 Overall Grade, placing him just below the average marks at his position.

Pick 28: Buffalo Bills

Original Pick - Xavier Worthy, WR (selected by Chiefs in trade)

New Pick - Xavier Worthy, WR

The Bills traded this selection with Kansas City, where the Chiefs added speedy wideout Xavier Worthy. However, in the redo, the Bills will instead add this same playmaker for Josh Allen. As a rookie, Worthy broke out on the scene, emerging as one of the spot's top deep threats, catching 59 passes for 636 yards with six scores. While a shoulder injury limited Worthy in 2025, he would bring a much-needed style to this Buffalo offense.

Pick 29: Detroit Lions

Original Pick - Tyler Guyton, OT (selected by Cowboys in trade)

New Pick - Kool-Aid McKinstry, DB

Kool-Aid McKinstry had a quiet rookie season, like many defenders on this list, but emerged as a starting-caliber player in his sophomore season. McKinstry was initially selected in the second round by the Saints, but he will look to bolster the Detroit secondary. In 2025, McKinstry tallied three interceptions while making 76 tackles with an impressive 17 pass deflections. His 69.5 Overall Grade on PFF placed him 25th among all defensive backs this past season.

Pick 30: Baltimore Ravens

Original Pick - Nate Wiggins, DB

New Pick - Roger Rosengarten, OT

With both Wiggins and McKinstry on the board, look for the Ravens to look to strengthen their offensive line with Roger Rosengarten, out of Washington. The Ravens selected the offensive tackle in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but will take him much higher, as the Steelers and Packers did earlier. In 2025, Rosengarten posted an impressive 74.2 Run Blocking Grade (aoccinrg ot PFF), ranking 23rd among all of the offensive tackles.

Pick 31: San Francisco 49ers

Original Pick - Ricky Pearsall, WR

New Pick - Terrion Arnold, DB

The 49ers will select defensive back Terrion Arnold with the 31st pick in the opening round. Arnold was first drafted by the Lions with the 24th overall pick, but will fall a few posts later in this version. As a rookie, Arnold showed solid upside in the secondary, logging 10 interceptions with 60 tackles. However, his sophomore season was hindered by injuries as he played in only eight games and posted a low 52.6 Overall Grade on PFF.

Pick 32: Kansas City Chiefs

Original Pick - Xavier Legette (selected by Panthers in trade from Chiefs and Bills)

New Pick - Bucky Irving, RB

With the Chiefs not trading up to select Worthy, they will instead take Bucky Irving out of Oregon. Originally a fourth-round selection, Irving moves up to the final spot in the opening round. The 23-year-old took over the Tampa Bay backfield during the second half of his rookie season but saw injuries limit him as a sophomore. Through two seasons, he has averaged a strong 4.5 YPC and an impressive 8.7 YPR as a pass-catcher.
