Week 18 NFL Weather Report - Fantasy Football Lineup Impacts

Mike Evans - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Kipp's Week 18 NFL weather report for fantasy football (2025). He looks at NFL game weather forecasts to help make key fantasy football start/sit decisions.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to our Week 18 fantasy football weather report for the 2025 NFL season! The first few months of the season brought us very few weather concerns, but now that the winter months of December and January have arrived, it is time to ramp up this session again. I will be here every week through the Super Bowl, if necessary, to discuss the weather forecasts for every NFL game, where appropriate. This is an article that is near and dear to my heart, as I am always looking for a weather edge where I can find one.

We will rely on the most accurate and up-to-date weather forecasts for each stadium from AccuWeather, a source that provides comprehensive weather maps. Factors such as temperature, precipitation, wind speed/direction, and visibility can play a crucial role in shaping game outcomes and statistics.

Our goal with this article is to help you make informed decisions for your fantasy teams and other betting activities, enabling you to capitalize on opportunities or navigate the challenges posed by weather dynamics. Additionally, I hope to be able to update the article at least once each weekend before games kick off. Here is your comprehensive fantasy football weather report for Week 18 and the regular season finale of the 2025 season.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Playoff Challenge #2 is back with a massive $100,000 grand prize and $203,250 total prize pool, paying down to 100th place. Here's the deal: no salary cap, no draft, no pickups, no subs. Choose 8 players, and as NFL teams get knocked out so will your players, so choose your team wisely. The entries will sell out quickly, and registrations will close on Saturday January 17th at 4:30 pm ET . Don't wait - get your team now and end your fantasy football season with a shot at $100,000! Dome Games (No Weather Impact)

Some games in Week 18 will benefit from being played in domed stadiums, where the weather won't affect the outcome. These indoor venues provide a consistent environment.

  • Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans (Sunday Early Slate)
  • Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings (Sunday Early Slate)
  • New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons (Sunday Early Slate)
  • Kansas City Chiefs @ Las Vegas Raiders (Sunday Afternoon Slate)
  • Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Rams (Sunday Afternoon Slate)

Minimal Weather Impact

These outdoor games in Week 18 don't appear to have very many weather concerns.

Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers (Saturday Night Slate)

We have a battle for the NFC West title and number one seed in the NFC taking place at Levi's Stadium on Saturday night between the Seahawks and 49ers. While there will be rain early in the day, the weather should be decent come game time.

Overall, AccuWeather has temperatures listed in the mid-50s under cloudy skies. Additionally, sustained winds will be somewhat mild at eight mph with gusts coming in at just nine mph. Start your studs in this one.

Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars (Sunday Early Slate)

The Titans will travel to Jacksonville, FL, to take on the Jaguars at EverBank Stadium in what should be a beautiful day in the Sunshine State.

AccuWeather currently has temperatures listed in the mid-60s under partly sunny skies. Additionally, sustained winds will be around nine mph with gusts pushing 20 mph. The wind gusts could cause an issue or two in the kicking game if they hit just right, but they are not worth sitting any players over.

Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants (Sunday Early Slate)

The Cowboys and Giants will wrap up their respective seasons on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Temperatures will be cold, in the lower 30s, but it will be a partly sunny day.

Winds should be of no concern, as current sustained winds are projected to be seven mph with gusts near 10 mph. Start your studs in this game as you see fit.

Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals (Sunday Early Slate)

The Browns will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals in a rather meaningless AFC North matchup on Sunday. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 30s under partly sunny skies.

Sustained winds are projected to be mild at four mph with gusts near five mph. Overall, there are no real weather concerns heading into this game.

Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots (Sunday Afternoon Slate)

The Miami Dolphins will travel to Foxboro, MA, to take on the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in what should be a rather uneventful game as far as the weather is concerned.

As expected, it will be cold, with temperatures in the mid-20s. Skies will be mostly sunny, and sustained winds are projected to be around nine mph with gusts near 13 mph. There are no real concerns here, so start your studs as you normally would.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos (Sunday Afternoon Slate)

The Chargers will travel to Denver to take on the Broncos Sunday afternoon in what looks to be a rather pleasant day in the Mile High City. Overall, temperatures will be in the upper 50s under partly sunny skies.

Winds will be mild, with sustained winds coming in around six mph and gusts near 15 mph. Start your players accordingly.

Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday Afternoon Slate)

The Commanders will travel to Lincoln Financial Field to take on their NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles, in what should be a pleasant afternoon weather-wise. Overall, temperatures are expected to be in the mid-30s under mostly sunny skies.

Sustained winds are expected to be around eight mph with gusts near 12 mph. While there is a 9% chance of precipitation, I would not expect a snow flurry or two to cause any issues here.

Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears (Sunday Afternoon Slate)

The Lions will wrap up their season when they travel to Chicago, IL, to take on the Bears at Soldier Field. While it will be cold, in the lower 30s, it is expected to be partly sunny.

Additionally, sustained winds are expected to be mild at seven mph, which is always a nice surprise this time of year in Chicago. Start your studs with confidence in this one, as the Bears will still be playing for seeding.

Moderate Weather Impact

Let's take a look at some games where the weather is not quite severe, but could still have a moderate impact on the game. The forecasts provide some information on what types of skill players might be worth being more cautious with.

Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Saturday Afternoon Slate)

A potential battle for the NFC South title will take place on Saturday afternoon in Tampa, FL, when the Panthers travel to take on the Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium. While the weather will be mild with temperatures in the mid-70s under sunny skies, we could have some wind to contend with.

AccuWeather currently notes that sustained winds will be around 14 mph with gusts pushing 30 mph. These are significant gusts and could certainly affect the kicking and deep passing games. It would be best to stream a kicker outside of this game, and it may be worth sitting deeper threat plays like Jalen Coker.

New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills (Sunday Afternoon Slate)

The Jets will travel to take on AFC East rival Buffalo at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY. While temperatures will be in the mid-20s under cloudy skies, we could have a slight bit of precipitation as well as wind to contend with.

AccuWeather currently has the chance of snow listed at 18%, which is at least worth noting. Additionally, sustained winds will be close to 12 mph with gusts pushing 20 mph. I am not all that concerned at this juncture, but if the winds hold and that precipitation percentage ticks up, we could have bigger issues with the passing game.

Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday Night Slate)

We have the biggest game of the day taking place Sunday night in Pittsburgh when the Ravens travel to take on the Steelers for the AFC North title. The winner advances to the playoffs, while the loser goes home. This is as big as it gets this week.

While we do not have any winds to contend with, as sustained winds are projected to be just 5 mph, it will be extremely cold in Pittsburgh. Currently, temperatures are expected to be around 19 degrees, which is not a major concern, but is worth noting here.

These colder temps could affect the kicking game, so I always advise streaming from a different game if you have the option. As big a Chris Boswell fan as I am, I may consider looking elsewhere this week out of an abundance of caution.

Severe Weather Impact

There are currently no games scheduled in Week 18 with severe weather impacts or concerns.
