Alex Pereira became a two-time light heavyweight champion by defeating Magomed Ankalaev via first-round TKO in the main event of UFC 320 on Saturday. As soon as the fight started, Pereira swarmed Ankalaev, backing him up to the fence. Pereira, who is known for his knockout power, stunned Akalaev with a monstrous right hand, forcing Akalaev to shoot for a takedown. Pereira then unleashed a barrage of hammerfists, forcing the referee to step in and stop the fight. In 80 seconds of action, Pereira landed 28 significant strikes. Magomed Ankalaev was unsuccessful in his first title defense as he suffered a first-round TKO loss to Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 320 on Saturday. Ankalaev was victorious in their first meeting, but this time, the fight played out differently. Cory Sandhagen suffered a unanimous decision loss to bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili in the co-main event of UFC 320 on Saturday. There was not much Sandhagen could do as he was dominated in every aspect of MMA. He got taken down 20 times throughout the fight and was almost knocked out in the second round. Merab Dvalishvili defended the bantamweight title for the third time by defeating Cory Sandhagen via unanimous decision in the co-main event of UFC 320. Dvalishvili dominated Sandhagen for five rounds and was even close to knocking him out in the second round. In 25 minutes of action, Dvalishvili landed 114 significant strikes. "The Machine" now has the third-longest win streak in UFC history, only behind Islam Makhachev, Kamaru Usman and Anderson Silva. Prochazka had his moments in the first and the second round, but Rountree Jr. landed the cleaner and heavier shots. In the third round, Prochazka began pressuring relentlessly, and eventually, he landed a decisive left hand that knocked out Rountree Jr. In 13:04 of action, Prochazka landed 71 significant strikes. It was a back-and-forth fight, but Rountree Jr. won the first two rounds as Rountree Jr. landed the cleaner and heavier shots. However, in the third round. Prochazka started landing more and more, and soon, Prochazka had Rountree Jr. in all kinds of trouble. Rountree Jr. then got caught by a left hand and was knocked out. Youssef Zalal extended his win streak by defeating former interim title challenger Josh Emmett on the main card of UFC 320 on Saturday. It wasn't long before the affair hit the mat, with Zalal landing a takedown. Not long after landing a takedown, Zalal found the leverage he needed to get Emmett's arm free, landing an armbar and forcing Emmett to tap out. Emmet got taken down early, and it looked like he was trapped there, unable to get out of a compromising situation. Soon after, Zalal landed an armbar submission that forced Emmett to tap out. In 98 seconds of the bout, Emmet wasn't able to land any significant strikes. It's safe to say Emmett's title dreams are over. He's now 1-4 in his last five. Magomedov had some solid moments in the opening round as he got on top of Pyfer, landed some elbows and almost submitted the 29-year-old, but Pyfer managed to get out of danger. In the second round, Pyfer dropped Magomedov with a thunderous right hand. Pyfer then took Magomedov's back and submitted him with a rear-naked choke.
