Cleveland Guardians outfielder Lane Thomas (foot) is progressing "a little slower" than the team expected, according to Guardians manager Stephen Vogt. Thomas was placed on the 10-day injured list in early July due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot. He recently received a pain-killing injection over the All-Star break. Thomas has had a rough season in 2025, slashing .160/.246/.272 with four home runs and four stolen bases in 142 plate appearances. The 29-year-old has posted the lowest barrel rate (4.8%) and hard-hit rate (30.1%) of his career so far this year. Thomas' speed (32 stolen bases in 2024) is a big part of his value to fantasy managers, so a nagging foot injury is bad news for his outlook the rest of the way.--Will Brady
