Jets vs. Patriots Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Thursday Night - Breece Hall, Justin Fields, Drake Maye, Stefon Diggs, TreVeyon Henderson

Drake Maye - Fantasy Football rankings, NFL DFS Picks, QB Streamers

Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em lineups advice for Jets vs. Patriots on Thursday Night Football in Week 11 (2025). NFL matchups analysis and TNF starts/sits.

I'm not quite sure what kind of cruel trick this is from the NFL, but after serving us the Las Vegas Raiders and the Miami Dolphins on back-to-back Thursday Night Football games, now we have the New York Jets to look forward to. At least on the other side, we have a legit Super Bowl contender and a possible MVP winner. The New England Patriots look to take a commanding 2.5-game lead in the division on Thursday.

From a fantasy football perspective, this game comes down to which New England Patriots players end up playing. There are a lot of "if-this-then-that" decisions to be made with a massive injury report coming from the Patriots. If all but a couple of the players get ruled out, the decisions will be easy. If five players enter the game with a Questionable tag, but all play, the choices will be a lot harder.

I will bring you Thursday Night Football analysis all season, focusing on who to start, who is on the fence, and who should be benched. Let's dive into this Week 11 Thursday night matchup for the 2025 season. You can also check out our main Week 11 start 'em, sit 'em matchups article for all other games. Good luck in your fantasy football week, RotoBallers!

New York Jets @ New England Patriots

Thursday, November 13, 8:15 PM ET

Notable Injuries:

Jets vs. Patriots Matchup Breakdown

The New York Jets simply do not pass the ball anymore. Their 1,294 total passing yards this season are almost 200 fewer than the 31st-ranked team in the league, the Tennessee Titans. They are the only team averaging fewer than 150 passing yards per game this season.

What they do like to do is run the ball, and they're quite good at it. Despite being 14th in overall rushing attempts, the Jets are fourth in rushing yards per game (141.8). They are one of only five teams to average over 5.0 yards per carry.

The problem for the Jets is that the New England Patriots are a top-five team against the run. They allow just 3.8 yards per carry (top four in the league), and let just 79.2 rushing yards per game (best in the NFL, and 11 yards better than any other team). If the Patriots slow down the Jets' rushing attack, it will be a very long night for the team in white and green.

Must-Starts for Fantasy Football Lineups

Breece Hall (RB, NYJ)

Despite all the chaos of the New York Jets offense this season, Hall is still RB16 in half-PPR fantasy points per game. He is coming off a 31-point and a 19-point performance and has at least 20 touches in three of the last four games. The efficiency may not be there, but the volume should place Hall firmly in the RB2 category this week.

Drake Maye (QB, NE)

Three quarterbacks have played 10 games and average at least 20 fantasy points per game this season: Justin Herbert, Daniel Jones, and Maye. Maye actually leads in overall fantasy points at the position, edging Patrick Mahomes by 0.2 points. The New York Jets have allowed 17 passing touchdowns and have not had an interception this season.

TreVeyon Henderson (RB, NE)

Stevenson looks extremely questionable for Thursday night, which would mean rookie Henderson would be in for a massive workload like he was in Week 10. In that game, Henderson rushed 14 times for 147 yards and two scores. The New York Jets are allowing almost 19 fantasy points per game to the position.

Possible Starts for Fantasy Football Lineups

Stefon Diggs (WR, NE)

The inconsistency for Diggs in the early part of the season has leveled out, and he now leads the Patriots in targets by a very healthy margin. His 61 targets are 14 more than any other player and 28 more than any other wide receiver. Diggs has also now scored in three straight games.

Kayshon Boutte (WR, NE) or Kyle Williams (WRs, NE)

The hierarchy of the deep threat wide receiver for the New England Patriots depends on the health of Boutte. If he plays, he is the downfield option for Maye. But if he can not go, Williams will step into the role. Williams had a touchdown go for more than 70 yards in Week 10. The Jets have struggled against deep passes, and Maye has the second-best deep-ball completion percentage in the league this year.

Consider Sitting for Fantasy Football Lineups

Justin Fields (QB, NYJ)

Fields now has eight or fewer fantasy points in three of his last four games. The Jets have taken the ball out of his throwing hand, as he has under 60 passing yards in those three games. Fields is good for a few rush attempts per game, but New England has allowed the sixth-fewest rushing yards to the position, including no rushing touchdowns.

Adonai Mitchell, Arian Smith, Tyler Johnson, and Allen Lazard (WRs, NYJ)

When you don't get to ever throw the ball, your second through fifth options at wide receiver are not going to get enough volume to contribute in fantasy football. These four players combined for just one catch in Week 10.

Mason Taylor (TE, NYJ)

Taylor had a nice stretch in Weeks 3-5 when he totaled 18 receptions and 150 yards. However, he has just 10 receptions in his last four games, including two games with one catch and under five receiving yards. This is a case of a lowering tide sinking all ships.

Mack Hollins (WR, NE)

Hollins has games where he can absolutely smash as an under-the-radar receiver. But he also has games where he completely disappears. Good luck guessing which one you will see if you start him. He has six games with two or fewer receptions, and a couple of games with at least six catches and 85 yards.

Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper (TEs, NE)

Henry has one touchdown since Week 4, and now has two games with exactly one reception in his last three. Henry started the season as a primary weapon for Maye, but he has frozen up in the last five weeks.

Hooper is battling a concussion and has six catches in his last five games. No, thank you.

Kirksey’s Thursday Night Football Picks

Current Spread: NE -12.5
Over/Under: 43.5

This is certainly not a Jets moneyline type of game, so the question is, can the Jets cover this massive spread of 12.5 points on the road? We can't rely on them to return two kicks for touchdowns again like they did in Week 10, and we can't really depend on the offense as a unit either.

The defense is depleted after a series of trades before the deadline, and Maye is playing like a man who wants a number one seed and an MVP as the cherry on top. On the season, the Jets are 5-4 against the spread and 2-1 as road underdogs. That matters, as does the fact that five of their seven losses have been within one score.

If this line moves to 13.5, I'm hammering the Jets to cover, but for now, I have a slight lean towards the Jets +12.5, with a garbage-time score to get them there.

Give new Patriots 30, Jets 18

The Pick: NYJ +12.5, OVER 43.5

2025 Overall Record:
Spread (5-5), Over/Under (5-5)
