Boone Jenner Moves to Washington
The Washington Capitals have signed forward Boone Jenner to a four-year, $23 million contract. Jenner will move to D.C. after spending his entire 13-year NHL career with the Blue Jackets, who named him captain in 2021. The 33-year-old has struggled with health issues in recent years but remains a solid player. He appeared in 67 games during the 2025-26 season, recording 38 points (13 goals, 25 assists), 132 SOG, and 147 hits. Jenner joins a revamped frontline in Washington after Jordan Kyrou and Alex Tuch were recently added. The team could even have Alex Ovechkin back for another year, making it a highly talented offense.
