ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Cincinnati Bengals have officially placed defensive lineman Trey Hendrickson (hip) on IR. The move comes as the 31-year-old underwent hip/pelvis surgery this week, effectively ending his time in the regular season. Per Schefter, he's expected to be sidelined for six weeks as he recovers. It's a disappointing end to a disappointing season for Hendrickson, who could only amass 16 tackles, four sacks, and a fumble forced in seven appearances following a hold-in amidst a contract dispute with the team this summer. In his stead, teammates Myles Murphy and Joseph Ossai (shin) should continue leading Bengals' edge rushers in snaps, with Cedric Johnson and Cam Sample mixing in behind them on occasion.--Alex Ciulla
