J.T. Ginn Goes Right Back on Injured List
J.T. Ginn (quadriceps) on the 15-day injured list with a strained right quadriceps and recalled right-hander Anthony Maldonado from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. The A's just activated Ginn from the IL on Monday from a right-elbow inflammation before he allowed four runs in four innings in a loss to the Los Angeles Angels. The 26-year-old is now back on the IL a day later with a new ailment and will miss at least the next two weeks. The former second-round pick by the New York Mets in 2020 out of Mississippi State has posted a 5.60 ERA (6.38 FIP) and 1.53 WHIP with 22 strikeouts and six walks in 17 2/3 innings over his four starts for the A's this year and hasn't been very sharp. Ginn has no business being rostered in mixed fantasy leagues at this time.
