Hello, RotoBallers! Welcome back to another Two-Start Pitchers - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Streamers and Starts article for Week 24 of 2025, from September 8 to September 14. The playoff period is coming up, and every advantage you can get this week counts.
Every week of the 2025 fantasy baseball season, this fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify starting pitchers in line to make two starts in the upcoming week. It will look at fantasy baseball streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire run for leagues with weekly transactions.
There are 35 pitchers currently scheduled for two starts in this period. We will examine the best options with roster rates under 50 percent. Pitchers with roster rates over 50 percent will also be listed. The other two-start pitchers are available, but they are not listed, as they should be avoided.

Best Available Two-Start Pitcher Streamers
Yu Darvish (40% Rostered), San Diego Padres
Scheduled Starts: vs. CIN, vs. COL
Darvish has had easily the worst season of his 13-year MLB career, as he holds a 5.75 ERA, 4.82 FIP, 1.18 WHIP, 22.4% strikeout rate, and 7.9% walk rate through 11 starts.
Still, the 38-year-old has thrown the ball about as well as in past seasons, with a 28.6% CSW rate, 3.64 xERA, and 34% hard-hit rate. A 24.9% chase rate indicates some weakened stuff, but his 59.9% left-on-base rate better explains his poor performance this season.
Hosting a Cincinnati offense ranked 25th in scoring since August 1 in the pitcher-friendly Petco Park should do Darvish some good. Getting a Colorado offense both outside of Coors (.604 OPS in away games) and in Petco Park is enough to make Darvish an undeniable streaming pick this week.

Braxton Ashcraft (17% Rostered), Pittsburgh Pirates
Scheduled Starts: @ BAL, @ WAS
Starting this season as a bulk relief option in Pittsburgh's barren bullpen, rookie Ashcraft has wowed since joining the rotation in August. Through five starts, he holds a 1.23 ERA, 2.05 FIP, 0.91 WHIP, 28.2% strikeout rate, and 8.2% walk rate.
As a starter, Ashcraft has also possessed a 12.2% SwStr rate and has yet to allow a barrel through 22 innings.
The Orioles and Nationals rank 23rd and 26th, respectively, in runs scored since August 1, so Ashcraft shouldn't run into too much trouble this week.
The only clear concern with the 25-year-old is that he has yet to throw more than 73 pitches in a game this season. Given he pitches well enough against the two struggling offenses, he should at least go five innings, which should make him appealing in any league that doesn't count quality starts.

Riskier Two-Start Pitcher Streamer Picks
Luis Morales (45% Rostered), Athletics
Scheduled Starts: vs. BOS, vs. CIN
The sole safe streamer last week, Morales, was bumped off his second start on the road against the Los Angeles Angels. Morales has been on quite the tear to start his MLB career, with a 1.59 ERA, 3.10 FIP, 0.99 WHIP, 27% strikeout rate, and 9.9% walk rate through five starts.
Morales was the pick last week despite some concerning marks; while a solid start against the St. Louis Cardinals (two runs allowed in 5 2/3 innings) improved his numbers across the board, his 10.2% SwStr rate, 27.8% CSW rate, and 91.3% left-on-base rate put him in dangerous territory.
He won't have the same luck he's had with matchups, as he'll host a Boston offense ranked sixth in scoring this season in the hitter-friendly Sutter Health Park. Morales' start against a Cincinnati offense ranked 14th in scoring this season likely won't help your ratios either.
Eury Perez (44% Rostered), Miami Marlins
Scheduled Starts: vs. WAS, vs. DET
After losing all of 2024 and the first few months of 2025 because of Tommy John surgery, Perez has mostly pitched well, with a 3.44 ERA and 25% strikeout rate in his first 14 starts. However, he's lost control in his past two starts, putting him back on waiver wires.
Now through 16 starts, Perez holds a 4.66 ERA, 4.36 FIP, 1.10 WHIP, 23.5% strikeout rate, and 9.5% walk rate. Nevertheless, most of his metrics work in his favor, as he's held a 13.6% SwStr rate, 63.7% left-on-base rate, and 3.42 xERA.
His latest start was against the Nationals, wherein he allowed seven earned runs across four innings pitched. He'll get a rematch, hosting Washington in what should still be a favorable matchup. Still, the Tigers rank eighth in scoring this year, so you can't assume this will be a conflict-free week for Perez.
The ceiling may be too high to pass up on, but the 22-year-old is by no means a safe option.

Noah Cameron (43% Rostered), Kansas City Royals
Scheduled Starts: @ CLE, @ PHI
While there have been some stumbles lately, Cameron has kept up an incredible rookie year. Through 20 starts, he holds a 3.03 ERA, 4.23 FIP, 1.13 WHIP, 19.1% strikeout rate, and 7.8% walk rate.
Cameron has held on this long because of a 12.1% SwStr rate and 5.4% barrel rate, but also because of a lucky .245 BABIP and 83.5% left-on-base rate.
He'll first get a Cleveland offense tied for dead last in scoring since August 1, but he'll then get a Phillies offense ranked eighth in scoring in the same timeframe. While his track record puts him in a good position, there are better streaming options available this week.
Will Warren (41% Rostered), New York Yankees
Scheduled Starts: vs. DET, @ BOS
Warren has been tripped up on many occasions this season, leading to a 4.28 ERA, 3.90 FIP, 1.39 WHIP, 24.7% strikeout rate, and 9.7% walk rate through 29 starts this season.
While he's thrown a lot more good innings than bad ones, it's hard to consider him against Boston and Detroit offenses that rank third and fourth, respectively, in runs scored among American League teams this season.
Ryan Bergert (35% Rostered), Kansas City Royals
Scheduled Starts: @ CLE, @ PHI
The Royals swung a deadline trade that included another rookie pitcher who has gone on a tear to open his MLB career, as Bergert holds a 2.61 ERA, 4.07 FIP, 1.09 WHIP, 23.1% strikeout rate, and 10.3% walk rate through 69 innings pitched this season.
Like rotation mate Noah Cameron, Bergert's has succeeded because of a lucky .215 BABIP and 84.9% left-on-base rate. While Bergert's got a higher strikeout ceiling, Cameron's stable floor makes him the safer option among the two.
Sean Manaea (33% Rostered), New York Mets
Scheduled Starts: @ PHI, vs. TEX
Manaea has had a terrible string of starts lately, giving him a 5.60 ERA, 3.83 FIP, 1.24 WHIP, 29.8% strikeout rate, and 4.5% walk rate through 45 innings pitched this season.
The high strikeout ceiling (backed by a 13.7% SwStr rate and 30.7% CSW rate) is tantalizing, but Manaea won't do you any good in fantasy baseball if he's deployed against a Phillies offense ranked 10th in scoring this season and a Rangers offense ranked 11th in scoring since August 1.
Jose Quintana (33% Rostered), Milwaukee Brewers
Scheduled Starts: @ TEX, vs. STL
Quintana has managed well enough this season as a starting pitcher for a Milwaukee team that paces the league in wins. Quintana has pitched to a 3.72 ERA, 4.86 FIP, 1.31 WHIP, 16.2% strikeout rate, and 9% walk rate through 22 starts.
Quintana's low ceiling takes him out of streaming consideration, especially in a week where there are many high-quality options available on waiver wires. Regardless, he would have had a hard time against a Rangers offense ranked 11th in scoring since August 1.
Adrian Houser (21% Rostered), Tampa Bay Rays
Scheduled Starts: @ CHW, @ CHC
Acquired from the Chicago White Sox at the trade deadline, Houser has kept up his surprisingly solid season. Houser comes into this week with a 3.01 ERA, 3.73 FIP, 1.29 WHIP, 17.6% strikeout rate, and 7.6% walk rate through 17 starts.
Houser returns to the Windy City to face a rejuvenated White Sox offense that ranks fourth in scoring since the All-Star break. While the Cubbies have gone ice-cold since the All-Star break (26th in scoring), they still rank seventh in scoring this season. Houser won't coast through this week.
