Robert Gasser Sharp in Triple-A Rehab Start
Robert Gasser (elbow) held his own in a rehab start with Triple-A Nashville on Friday. Gasser, who's on his way back from June 2024 Tommy John surgery, tossed three scoreless innings with four strikeouts. He allowed three hits, walked one, and threw 27 of 42 pitches for strikes. The Brewers are building the 26-year-old back up as a starter post-surgery, so he figures to need at least a couple more rehab outings at the Triple-A level before a potential return to the majors. Gasser thrived out of the rotation during his short debut in 2024, when he made five starts and posted a 2.57 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP, 16 strikeouts, and a mere one walk in 28 innings. Even in the wake of recent injuries to Jacob Misiorowski (leg) and Logan Henderson (elbow), the Brewers are deep in the rotation. As a result, Gasser will likely work out of the bullpen if he comes back this season.
