It's that time of the month again; it's time to take a deep look at the fantasy landscape and determine which players fantasy football managers need to be making a play for and which ones they should consider taking a loss on.
During the summer months, the dynasty market slows down, with much of the market correcting itself after the NFL Draft. However, we have had a few opportunities to see some of our dynasty assets take the field in June, with some creating buzz while others appear poised to produce less-than-desirable outcomes moving forward.

Fantasy Football Dynasty Rankings (June 2025)
Trending Upward
Jalin Hyatt, WR, New York Giants (+58)
Previous rank: 329
Current rank: 271
When you think of untapped potential in fantasy football, your first thoughts don't exactly turn to the New York Giants. With Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson each commanding 140+ targets a season ago, a third wide receiver surely couldn't be a viable option for fantasy managers, especially one coming off an eight-reception, 19-target 2024 campaign.
However, each new season brings new hope. It is essential to recall that this is the same player who amassed 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns during his junior season at Tennessee. The talent and potential have always been there; it's just needed someone to unlock it. Enter Mr. Unlimited himself, Russell Wilson. Wilson worked out with Hyatt before OTAs, and the two have been building chemistry since Wilson arrived. Hyatt is a player who Wilson dropped, citing "untapped potential."
One strength of Hyatt's, dating back to his college days, has been his ability to stretch the field. Every time the Giants receiver lines up, he is a threat to go deep. New York added three of the most willing deep-ball passers available in Wilson, Jameis Winston, and Jaxson Dart, so regardless of who lines up under center, this Giants offense will be looking to take some shots.
Fantasy managers willing to take a chance on Hyatt could reap the reward, as Hyatt has shown a similar career arc to that of Jameson Williams, who posted seasons of 41 receiving yards and 354 receiving yards before breaking out in 2024 and posting his first 1,000-yard season.
Want to get excited about what Hyatt can do with quarterbacks willing to risk it? Look back on the Alabama tape where Hyatt caught six passes for 207 yards, five of which resulted in touchdowns.

With a current ADP that puts Hyatt outside the top 25 rounds of dynasty startups, there is absolutely no risk in taking a swing on the upside here.
Jaylen Wright, RB, Miami Dolphins (+7)
Previous rank: 174
Current rank: 167
Jaylen Wright's current ADP in dynasty startups is around 180, or RB53. De'Von Achane remains the incumbent in the Dolphins backfield; however, Raheem Mostert is now a Raider, and Miami has only brought in Alexander Mattison and Ollie Gordon II as competition. Achane can not duplicate last season's workload, where he touched the ball 282 times; those hits are going to add up.
We anticipate Wright relieving Achane of some of those touches. In that case, we can project that Wright will also receive the lion's share of Mostert's 85 vacated carries in addition to his previous 71 touches. More touches will go a long way for fantasy managers, even further when considering the additions of James Daniels and Jonah Savaiinaea along the interior of that offensive line.

Despite limited touches during his rookie season, Wright averaged 3.25 yards after contact per attempt while also earning a missed tackles forced per attempt of 0.24. Both metrics qualified Wright inside the top 20 among running backs, further cementing him as a Year 2 breakout candidate.
Achane's production came predominantly from the passing game, where he scored 173.2 PPR points. In the run game, Achane saw his yards before contact drop from 4.7 in 2023 to 2.4 in 2024, and his yards after contact go from 3.1 to 2.1 over the same period. All the more reason to believe Wright will be a more significant factor in Year 2.
Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+5)
Previous rank: 117
Current rank: 112
Baker Mayfield needs to have some respect put on his name; the disrespect has gone too far. After back-to-back top-10 fantasy finishes (QB4 last season), Mayfield finds himself coming off the board as the QB14 in dynasty startups. Mayfield posted top 12 performances in 76.5% of his games last season and was one of five signal-callers to do so.
During the offseason, the Buccaneers improved. Chris Godwin is slated to return after missing 10 games due to injury. Mike Evans continues to ascend to unprecedented territory, racking up 1,000-yard seasons after 1,000-yard seasons. Jalen McMillan and Bucky Irving broke out in 2024, and the Bucs added one of the best receivers available in the draft in Emeka Egbuka, to whom Mayfield will have full access when distributing the ball in 2025.
At 30 years of age and coming off a 4,500-yard, 41-touchdown season, Mayfield is just entering the prime of his career. Among quarterbacks with 400 or more passing attempts over the last decade, Mayfield's 7.2% TD rate was the seventh highest recorded.
Over the last three seasons, only five other quarterbacks have had more games of more than 300 yards, in which they also threw three or more touchdowns and zero interceptions, than Mayfield has. Only four other quarterbacks have recorded more passing touchdowns on throws greater than 20 air yards over that same period. Don't overthink it; Mayfield is a top-10 fantasy option, however you look at it.

Keenan Allen, WR, Free Agent (-10)
Previous rank: 185
Current rank: 196
As we enter the midpoint of June, Keenan Allen remains unsigned. That said, the moment he signs, there is a strong probability that we will see a 40-point jump in his ADP in redraft leagues, with the change in dynasty leagues not nearly as pronounced.
Fantasy football is a "what have you done for me lately" business, and the longer a player remains out of sight, the longer he remains out of managers' minds. There are certainly teams that could use Allen and his skill set; however, there has been little discussion of Allen to this point, as teams are already in OTA mode.
It's not like Allen was Amari Cooper and suddenly fell off completely. Allen caught 70 passes on 121 targets, resulting in 744 receiving yards and a team-best seven receiving touchdowns. Entering what could be his 13th NFL season, Allen is no more than a depth piece for fantasy managers who can fill the bye-week voids.
At this point in his career, Allen won't provide fantasy managers with a return on their investment. Allen should only be considered by those with fantasy football championship aspirations rather than those in any rebuild.
Jonathon Brooks, RB, Carolina Panthers (-11)
Previous rank: 63
Current rank: 76
When a promise fails to lead to production, negative consequences are likely to occur. Coming out of Texas, Jonathon Brooks was one of the most highly regarded running back prospects, and despite tearing his ACL, fantasy enthusiasts were willing to take a chance on the former Longhorn as the upside was immense. Fast forward to his rookie season, Brooks would eventually return to the lineup only to be sidelined once again, tearing his ACL after only 12 touches.
Last month, Carolina placed Brooks on the physically unable to perform list, effectively ruling him out for the entire 2025 season. Further adding to the frustrations of those who invested in Brooks was the fact that Carolina not only gave Chuba Hubbard a new contract last season, but also this past offseason, it added insurance in the form of Rico Dowdle, who is coming off a 1,000-yard season of his own. While Dowdle's deal is only a one-year contract, Brooks is likely to face competition when he returns from this latest setback.

— Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) May 8, 2025
For those seeking some optimism, Brooks is still younger than TreVeyon Henderson, Cam Skattebo, RJ Harvey, Omarion Hampton, and Bhayshul Tuten, all of whom were part of this past April's draft class.
Anthony Richardson, QB, Indianapolis Colts (-7)
Previous rank: 166
Current rank: 173
If it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck, then it must be a duck. The same can be said about a quarterback. If a quarterback completes less than 55% of their passes in college, then completes less than 55% of their passes as a pro, chances are they are what they are.
While Anthony Richardson captivated the imaginations of fantasy managers coming out of Florida, his tremendous upside has been nothing more than a pipe dream early on in his career.
In two seasons in Indianapolis, Richardson has completed just 50.6% of his pass attempts, passing for 2,391 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 15 games, Richardson has been sacked 21 times, thrown 13 interceptions, and fumbled the ball on nine additional occasions.
Richardson still possesses more upside than any other Colts quarterback on the roster; however, Richardson recently flew to Los Angeles to have doctors recheck his AC joint that had previously been operated on. If that's not bad enough, given the early injury history, the Colts added veteran Daniel Jones to the quarterback room as an insurance policy.
Examining the analytics, Daniel Jones may provide the Colts with a better passing offense than Richardson can. In 2024, while with the Giants, Jones threw 26.0 catchable targets per game, the 10th most. Meanwhile, in Indianapolis, Richardson was tossing just 16.5 catchable targets per contest. That was 3.1 fewer catchable targets than the second-worst team in the NFL.
Other Notable Fallers: Amari Cooper (-15), Shedeur Sanders (-9), Dalton Kincaid (-9), DeAndre Hopkins (-8), Tyrone Tracy Jr. (-6), Elic Ayomanor (-6), Xavier Worthy (-5), Tank Dell (-5), David Montgomery (-4), Romeo Doubs (-4), A.J. Brown (-3), Chris Olave (-2)

Name to Know
Efton Chism III, WR, New England Patriots (+40)
Previous rank: 316
Current rank: 276
From undrafted free agent to potentially the favorite target of Drake Maye, the offseason arc of Efton Chism III has been the makings of a fantasy football fairy tale. While Stefon Diggs will ultimately settle into the WR1 role, the second option in the passing game is up for debate. The lifelines to the offseason, beat writers, have noted a rapport between Maye and Chism throughout OTAs, driving the hype train through June.
After Diggs, the wide receiver room features DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, Kendrick Bourne, Ja'Lynn Polk, and fellow rookie Kyle Williams. As you can see, there is a path for the UDFA to succeed as early as this September. Early vibes from Foxborough have compared Chism to former Patriot great Julian Edelman.
Chism dominated at Eastern Washington, just like Cooper Kupp had done, and the pair are the only receivers to surpass 300 career receptions for the Eagles. While Chism, much like Kupp and Edelman, doesn't possess elite speed, his ability to change direction out of the slot has created separation early on and led to numerous receptions throughout OTAs.
Pats head coach Mike Vrabel has been singing Chism's praises throughout the offseason.
"I think he's a talented player. I think he has a certain skill set. He's dedicated. He's studied extremely hard," Vrabel said. "He has a good feel for what we're asking him to do. I think the biggest thing for receivers is that there's trust from the guy that throws the football. When you earn the quarterback's trust – any one of them that we have, any one of the three – it doesn't take you long to figure out who the quarterback trusts. It's the ones they target. That's a good indicator."

Chism has, for the most part, gone undrafted in both rookie drafts and dynasty startups. Be sure to hit the waiver wire and see if he's currently available in your leagues.
Maximize Return
Nick Chubb, RB, Houston Texans (+22)
Previous rank: 232
Current rank: 210
When one door closes, another often opens. When a sell window in fantasy football opens, take full advantage. That window for Nick Chubb is once again open after injuries derailed Chubb's last couple of seasons, limiting him to just 10 contests, 130 carries, and 302 rushing yards.
Chubb has suffered more than most. Back in 2015, when playing for the Georgia Bulldogs, Chubb suffered a gruesome injury that dislocated his knee and tore his PCL, MCL, and LCL in his left knee. Then, in September 2023, Chubb once again suffered a similar injury to the same knee, leading to surgery to repair both the MCL and ACL. It is difficult to return to form after one devastating injury, but to do it twice would be unprecedented.
Having turned 29 this past December, Chubb is on the age cliff as far as running backs are concerned, let alone running backs who have dealt with the severity of injuries that Chubb has. As far as the sell window is concerned, Chubb signed and passed his physical with the Houston Texans and is projected to share the Houston backfield with Joe Mixon, who is also recovering from his injuries (foot/ankle).
I'm not one to bet against Chubb; he's overcome every obstacle he has faced, but at some point, fantasy managers are better off getting out a little early rather than too late. As the offseason progresses, expect Chubb's value to continue to increase.
Buy the Dip
I don't understand how you can transition from a Russell Wilson and Arthur Smith-run offense to a Dak Prescott and Brian Schottenheimer offense and still lose value. That is the peculiar case in which George Pickens currently finds himself. The fantasy community seemed excited when the Steelers looked to be pairing Pickens with DK Metcalf and Aaron Rodgers. Yet, somehow, the excitement has died down to a modest roar now that he finds himself with Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.
Looking at the current dynasty startup ADP courtesy of Dynasty Data Lab, Pickens is going late, in the seventh round as the WR32. At that price tag, Pickens is suddenly a value as a WR3 who is capable of WR1 numbers any given week. At 24, Pickens is just entering the prime of his career and is playing with the best quarterback he has seen in his career, while coverage will be pulled away from him courtesy of Lamb.
In 2023, the Dallas Cowboys ranked first in the NFL in passing attempts per game, and in 2024, they ranked third. There is more than enough volume for Pickens to play the role of Tee Higgins to Lamb's Ja'Marr Chase, and have both pass-catching options being viewed as top-12 fantasy options at their respective position.
Let's not forget that Pickens has averaged more than 2.00 yards per route run and finished inside the top 36 in terms of average separation score in each of the past two seasons, according to Fantasy Points Data.
George Pickens has averaged over 2.00 YPRR and finished top-36 in Average Separation Score each of the past two seasons.
