Commanders Place Noah Brown on Injured Reserve
Noah Brown (groin, knee) on Injured Reserve. After already missing the team's last four games with groin and knee injuries, Brown will now be forced to miss at least four more games and will not be eligible to return until the Week 11 game on Sunday, Nov. 11, against the Miami Dolphins. Washington has also been without top wideout Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) for the last several games, leading to Deebo Samuel Sr. getting more work in the offense. With Brown now out for at least another four contests, it means that Luke McCaffrey and rookie Jaylin Lane should have a clear path to more playing time for the foreseeable future, at least until McLaurin is able to return. Brown, 29, caught three of seven targets for 36 yards and no touchdowns in the first two games of 2025 before getting hurt.

Josh Reynolds Will Not Practice on Wednesday
Josh Reynolds (hip) will not take the practice field on Wednesday. Top wideout Garrett Wilson (knee) also won't practice after hyperextending his knee in the loss to the Denver Broncos in London on Sunday, and he's expected to miss multiple weeks. It means that Reynolds could operate as New York's top pass-catcher in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers, although now the 30-year-old's status is up in the air with a DNP coming on Wednesday. If the Jets are without both Wilson and Reynolds this weekend, rookie tight end Mason Taylor could be the Jets' top receiver in what has been an ugly passing game so far through six weeks. Receivers Allen Lazard (personal), Arian Smith and Tyler Johnson would start in three-wide sets for the Jets if both Wilson and Reynolds are sidelined.

Garrett Wilson Not Being Ruled Out but Won't Practice on Wednesday
Garrett Wilson (knee) out for the Week 7 game on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, but he will not practice on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. When asked about Wilson's chances of playing this weekend, Glenn said, "We'll see how he progresses" during the week. The 25-year-old suffered a hyperextended knee in the Week 6 loss to the Denver Broncos in London and is expected to miss a couple of weeks, so it's probably only a matter of time this week before he's ruled out for Sunday's game against Carolina. With Wilson expected to miss time, Josh Reynolds, Allen Lazard (personal), Arian Smith and Tyler Johnson will all have bigger roles, as well as rookie tight end Mason Taylor. However, fantasy managers may not want to expect much, as the Jets have had one of the worst passing attacks through six weeks.

Kendrick Bourne To Be Heavily Relied On Again in Week 7?
Kendrick Bourne has stepped up in a major way with the team dealing with multiple injuries to their skill position group, and could be in line for more work again in Week 7. Kendrick Bourne has posted exactly 142 receiving yards in back-to-back weeks, catching 10 of 11 targets against the Rams in Week 5 and hauling in 5 of 9 targets against the Buccaneers in Week 6. With WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) and TE George Kittle (hamstring) both expected to be back relatively soon, but WR Jauan Jennings is dealing with multiple broken ribs, Bourne could be relied on again in the short term. More news should come out on the statues of the Pearsall, Kittle, and Jennings throughout the week.

Harold Fannin Jr. In Line For More Targets?
Harold Fannin Jr. is coming off the best game of his young career in Week 6 at Pittsburgh, catching seven of 10 targets for 81 yards. Fannin could be set up for even more targets with David Njoku (knee) leaving Sunday's game early and missing Wednesday's practice. The rookie trailed only wideout Jerry Jeudy for the team lead in targets and looks to be building a rapport with fellow rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel on some of these underneath routes. Fannin's three highest games by snap share have come in the past three weeks, and he could be a focal point of their passing attack in Week 7 against Miami. He would rank as an upside TE1 if Njoku is unable to play.

Has Juwan Johnson's Role in the Saints Offense Shrunk for Good?
Juwan Johnson recorded season lows across the board against the Patriots, catching just two passes on two targets for 15 yards. He also lost a fumble in the fourth quarter during the Week 6 loss. This marked his second straight game with only two catches, and his snap share fell to a season-low 71%. Johnson's decline coincides with the returns of fellow tight ends Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau, which will continue to eat into his opportunities. While he's worth holding onto if production increases, he can be left on the bench for now.

Jordan Whittington Set Up For Expanded Role in Week 7?
Jordan Whittington is primed for a bump in playing time with superstar wideout Puka Nacua (ankle) expected to miss some time. Whittington hasn't played a big role on offense through six games with 10 catches (13 targets) for 112 yards, but played a season high 92.5% of snaps in Week 6 against Baltimore and caught three of four targets for 23 yards. In six games without Nacua last season, Whittington racked up 21 catches for 287 yards on 27 targets. If Puka Nacua is ruled out for Week 7 against the Jaguars, Jordan Whittington would be in flex territory and a worthwhile waiver wire target.

No Timetable for Anthony Richardson Sr.'s Return
Anthony Richardson Sr.'s (eye) return, according to FOX 59's Mike Chappell. After landing on Injured Reserve earlier this week, Richardson will miss at least four games after suffering a fractured orbital bone before Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals when a resistance band snapped and hit him in the face. He will be in and out of the team's facilities getting treatment and will remain engaged in meetings. With Richardson on IR, Riley Leonard has been elevated to the backup QB role behind starter Daniel Jones. The Colts brought in Brett Rypien to join their practice squad to give them depth behind Jones and Leonard. After losing out on the starting gig to Jones in training camp, Richardson's stock is as low as it's ever been after he was taken fourth overall in 2023.

Deshaun Watson "a Good Month Away" From Practicing
Deshaun Watson (Achilles) has been sidelined since Week 7 of last season, but is reportedly doing "great" in his rehab, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Stefanski didn't have an update on whether Watson was any closer to having his practice window opened, but he's made progress in his recovery. Watson's road to recovery was delayed when he re-tore his Achilles tendon later on and still doesn't seem that close to playing anytime soon. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Watson is still "a good month away" from being cleared to participate in any football activities. For the time being, rookie Dillion Gabriel will continue starting for Cleveland, with rookie Shedeur Sanders as his backup.

Michael Mayer In Line for High-Volume Role in Week 7?
Michael Mayer could see a starter's workload once again in Week 7 if fellow tight end Brock Bowers (knee) remains sidelined due to a knee injury. With Bowers out in Week 6, Mayer recorded five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown on seven targets against the Tennessee Titans. The Raiders have a more difficult matchup in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Still, Mayer profiles as a low-end starting option at the tight end position for fantasy managers while Bowers is out.

Will Alvin Kamara's Volume Pay Off Against Chicago?
Alvin Kamara turned 10 carries into just 31 yards, but had a season-best receiving game with five receptions for 45 yards in the loss to the Patriots. He continues to struggle establishing the run behind a Saints offensive line still developing chemistry, though he salvaged some value through the passing game. He has still only found the end zone once this season, which came back in Week 1 against the Cardinals. His 3.8 yards per carry is his second-lowest of his career, and his 72.6 total yards per game is also a career low. He remains a volume-based RB2 and will face a Bears defense in Week 7 that has allowed five rushing touchdowns through five games.

Chuba Hubbard to "Remain a Focal Point" in Panthers' Offense?
Chuba Hubbard (calf) has missed the team's last two games due to a calf injury. In that stretch, Panthers back Rico Dowdle has been dominant, recording 473 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns. Despite Dowdle's breakout, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Hubbard will "remain a focal point" in Carolina's offense. Fowler also notes that the team is "taking the approach that both players will get their touches regardless of who gets the first snap." Fantasy managers may have to take the approach that both Panthers running backs will see a relatively equal workload once Hubbard returns to the field. If Hubbard remains out in Week 7, Dowdle profiles as a clear must-start running back in a favorable matchup against the New York Jets.

David Njoku Not Practicing Wednesday
David Njoku (knee) is not expected to practice on Wednesday, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. David Njoku left early in Cleveland's Week 6 loss to the Steelers after injuring his knee. Before leaving, the veteran tight end secured three of six targets for 28 yards. His status for Week 7 against the Dolphins is up in the air as he missed practice to begin the week, but he'll have two more opportunities to practice on Thursday and Friday. If Njoku were to miss the upcoming game, rookie Harold Fannin Jr. would see a big boost and upgrade to clear TE1 territory for Week 7 against Miami.

Chiefs "Allocating a Heavy Workload" for Rashee Rice Right Away
Rashee Rice back from suspension in Week 7, and the team "will be allocating a heavy workload for him as soon as possible," according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Rice joins a talented group of pass catchers in Kansas City that also includes wide receivers Xavier Worthy and Marquise Brown, as well as tight end Travis Kelce. Still, Rice should be expected to take over as the number one option in the passing game for quarterback Patrick Mahomes sooner rather than later. In four games before suffering a season-ending knee injury in 2024, Rice recorded 24 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns on 29 targets. He profiles as a must-start fantasy wide receiver heading into a Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Puka Nacua a "Long Shot" to Play in Week 7
Puka Nacua (ankle) is a "long shot" to play in Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The Rams have a bye in Week 8, so the team could prefer to get him two full weeks of rest before a potential return in Week 9. Nacua has recorded 54 catches for 616 yards and two touchdowns on 65 targets so far this season. Rams wide receiver Davante Adams should dominate from a target share perspective in Week 7 if Nacua is sidelined. Los Angeles could also get wideout Tutu Atwell (hamstring) back from a hamstring injury. Atwell and Jordan Whittington would both likely see an uptick in targets and playing time against the Jaguars if Nacua is out.

Kenneth Walker III, Zach Charbonnet to Continue Splitting Backfield Work
Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet "complement each other well" and will "continue to vary their usage according to their weekly game plan and opponent," according to ESPN's Dan Graziano. Through six weeks, Walker III has recorded 425 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on 86 total touches, while Charbonnet has logged 186 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on 64 total touches. As long as both backs are healthy, it appears it will remain difficult for fantasy managers to fully trust either one for high-end fantasy production. In Week 7 against the Houston Texans, Walker III profiles as a low-end RB2 while Charbonnet profiles as a low-end flex option.

Is Spencer Rattler Due for a Breakout Against Chicago?
Spencer Rattler completed 20-of-26 passes for 227 yards with no touchdowns and added four rushes for 20 yards in Week 6's loss to the Patriots. He now ranks eighth in pass attempts, 13th in completion percentage, and 16th in passing yards on the season. This game also marks his fifth straight with a completion rate over 67% and his first since Week 1 without a passing score. The efficiency is clear, but the lack of touchdown production continues to limit his ceiling. Despite steady play, he's finished inside the top 20 quarterbacks just once this year. However, a favorable Week 7 matchup against a Bears defense that's surrendered 14 total touchdowns to quarterbacks through five games, could give him a chance to turn volume and accuracy into real production.

Breece Hall's Name Comes Up "Most Often" in RB Trade Talks Around the NFL
Breece Hall is the name that comes up most often in league-wide running back trade talks, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano. Hall is in the final year of his current contract with the 0-6 Jets, so he's a logical candidate to get moved before the NFL trade deadline. The 24-year-old has recorded 560 yards from scrimmage on 105 total touches through six games this season, although he's yet to find the end zone. A move to a better team would likely help Hall's touchdown production, although he could end up splitting more backfield work depending on the destination. If Hall were to get moved, Jets running back Isaiah Davis would likely take on a huge share of the backfield snaps in New York. In deep leagues, Davis is a stash candidate who could pay off big time for fantasy managers down the stretch.

Mike Gesicki Placed on Injured Reserve Due to Pectoral Injury
Mike Gesicki (pectoral) has been placed on Injured Reserve due to a pectoral injury, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 30-year-old has recorded eight catches for 61 yards on 16 targets through his first six games of 2025. He will now miss at least the next four games for Cincinnati. With Gesicki sidelined and tight end Tanner Hudson (concussion) questionable to play in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bengals will likely turn to Noah Fant and Drew Sample to handle the tight end snaps. Fant has recorded 16 catches for 107 yards and a touchdown on 18 targets across five games this season and could be a low-end streaming option for fantasy managers in Week 7.

Kameron Johnson a Long-Shot Play in Week 7
Kameron Johnson came out of nowhere in Week 6, and he ended the contest with four receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 30-19 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. With injuries to Emeka Egbuka (hamstring), Mike Evans (hamstring), Chris Godwin (leg), Jalen McMillan (neck), and Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot), Johnson has an opportunity in Week 7 to be a sleeper start in deeper league formats with multiple flex spots or 12-plus team leagues. In Week 7, the Buccaneers play the Detroit Lions, and most sportsbooks have an over/under of 52.5 points, implying that a lot of points are to be expected in this matchup. Fantasy managers who are struggling to fill a wide receiver spot due to injuries and bye weeks may want to look Johnson's way this week.

Kimani Vidal Provides RB2 Value Moving Forward
Kimani Vidal exploded in Week 6 with 124 rushing yards on 18 carries (6.89 YPC) and three receptions for 14 yards and a touchdown through the air. The reason for his opportunity is that rookie Omarion Hampton (ankle) landed on the injured reserve in Week 5, which opened up the door for Vidal, and he made the most of it. At this point, Vidal should not be on your waiver wire and should be picked up immediately if he is. The most encouraging thing for Vidal is that he outsnapped, out-touched, and outplayed other Chargers running back Hassan Haskins by a landslide, saw 67% of the snaps to Haskins' 31%, out-touched him 22 to seven, and outgained him 138 to 23 in all-purpose yards. While fantasy managers may want to temper expectations, considering the Chargers faced the Miami Dolphins, who have allowed the seventh most points to running backs on the season, it was encouraging to see one of the two running backs get a majority of the touches, as coming into the matchup on Sunday, it was unclear who the lead back was going to be. Vidal can be viewed as a low-end RB2 moving forward until Hampton returns.

Brashard Smith a Strong Bench Stash Moving Forward
Brashard Smith from SMU took a step backward in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions, not seeing a single carry, playing a lower snap percentage, and making only three receptions in the passing game during the Chiefs' 30-17 win over the Lions. However, due to the matchup against the Lions, head coach Andy Reid wanted to lean on his veterans, as the game was crucial to the Kansas City Chiefs, who were sitting at (2-3). With the Las Vegas Raiders on deck in Week 7, and most sportsbooks labeling the Chiefs as 11.5-point favorites, Smith should get some additional work and snaps in this one, making him a long-shot play in Week 7 and a value-add in deeper leagues if it's a breakout game for him. The other Chiefs running backs, Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt, have both been relatively inefficient with their opportunities, averaging 4.2 and 3.82 YPC, respectively.

Tyjae Spears in Line for More Work Down the Stretch?
Tyjae Spears is coming off his second game of the season since starting the year on the injured reserve with an ankle issue, and in Week 6, he out-snapped backfield mate Tony Pollard 59% to 43%. Additionally, accumulated 50 all-purpose yards on nine total touches (five on the ground and four through the air) to Pollard's 47 all-purpose yards on 12 opportunities. While the entire Titans offense has struggled mightily this year, Pollard has not been able to do much with his opportunities as the lead-back early in the year, averaging only 3.93 YPC. With the younger and more explosive running back in Spears now ramped up, it's possible he could take over the lead-back role down the stretch, or at the very least, continue to be used 50/50 with Pollard, which gives him some flex appeal moving forward. Spears has proven, when given the opportunity, that he can be a top-15 running back when given the chance. Last year, when Pollard went down with an injury, Spears had three top 15 finishes at the running back position to end the year. Fantasy managers will want to make sure that Spears is not on their waiver wires moving forward.

Emeka Egbuka is Expected to Miss Week 7
Emeka Egbuka (hamstring), is expected to "miss some time," including Week 7. Based on news from Rapoport earlier this week, it should not come as a surprise that Egbuka is expected to miss Week 7's Monday Night Football game against the Detroit Lions. With Egbuka set to miss Week 7, wide receivers Sterling Shepard, Tez Johnson, Kameron Johnson, and tight end Cade Otton should all see an increase in workload with Egbuka, Mike Evans (hamstring), Chris Godwin (ankle), Jalen McMillan (neck), and Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot) all sidelined. The silver lining to all of this is that Rapoport suggests Egbuka's injury is "not as severe" as Evans', who has been sidelined since Week 4. Egbuka fantasy managers should plan contingencies if they haven't already, for the next week or two. Shepard, Johnson, and Johnson all feature as long-shot WR3 throws in deeper leagues, while Otton holds some low-end TE1 value.

Jalen Suggs Participates in Contact Drills
Jalen Suggs (knee) was involved in some contact drills during Tuesday's practice, according to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel. Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley told reporters that Suggs was "able to do a little bit of contact" during practice, which included three-on-three action. The team has its final preseason game scheduled for Thursday against the New Orleans Pelicans and will begin the regular season on Oct. 22 with a matchup against the Miami Heat. Suggs' availability for game action will depend on how his knee responds to the increased workload.

Mark Williams Progresses to Five-on-Five Work
Mark Williams (undisclosed) has made progress in his recovery, as he is now participating in five-on-five drills during practice, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Williams has been sidelined for the entire preseason due to an undisclosed health issue, but this recent update gives fantasy managers hope that he can be ready for the start of the regular season. The Suns' opening night is scheduled for Oct. 22 against the Sacramento Kings. Williams has bags of fantasy potential, but injuries have kept him back. Last season, the 23-year-old averaged 15.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 26.6 minutes with the Charlotte Hornets.

Gary Harris to Miss 1-2 Weeks
Gary Harris (hamstring) will be sidelined for 1-2 weeks due to a hamstring strain, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. On Tuesday, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said that Harris will be out for at least a week, raising doubts about his availability for the start of the season. The Bucks begin their 2025-26 regular-season campaign next Wednesday against the Washington Wizards. Harris' absence will limit Rivers' bench options; however, he is not expected to play a significant role with the team this season. The 31-year-old has not been a relevant player in fantasy basketball for several years, averaging just 3.0 points per game in 14.8 minutes with the Orlando Magic last season.

De'Andre Hunter Sustains Knee Contusion Tuesday
De'Andre Hunter (knee) exited Tuesday's preseason matchup against the Detroit Pistons after the first half, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. The team ruled out Hunter for the rest of the game with a right knee contusion. Hunter had a great performance against the Pistons, scoring 14 points in as many minutes with 3-for-6 shooting from the field. He finished 2-for-3 from downtown and 6-for-7 at the charity stripe. While Hunter's knee issue appears to be minor, it's worth monitoring his status ahead of next week's season opener against the New York Knicks. This season, Hunter is expected to have a starting role with the Cavaliers. Should he be sidelined, it would create an opportunity for Dean Wade or Jaylon Tyson to step up and make a greater impact.

Karlo Matkovic Hurts Elbow in Loss to Houston
Karlo Matkovic (elbow) didn't play in the second half of Tuesday's 130-128 preseason loss against the Houston Rockets, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. He was ruled out for the rest of the contest due to right elbow soreness and was seen icing his elbow on the Pelicans' bench. Matkovic is working to earn a regular rotation spot during training camp, but he won't have much fantasy relevance unless the Pelicans' frontcourt experiences multiple injuries again. In three preseason games, Matkovic has averaged 6.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in 13.7 minutes. His elbow issue may prevent Matkovic from participating in New Orleans' final preseason game against the Orlando Magic on Friday night.
