Welcome to the Week 10 edition of the top prospect performers. In this weekly piece, we take a look at three top-performing prospects who could earn promotions and contribute in fantasy at some point down the line. While some are closer to making their major league debut than others, it's important to stay up to date on these players so you're ready to add them when the time is right.

The most notable prospect promotion of the past week was Gage Jump, who got roughed up a bit in his first start but still offers great strikeout upside for fantasy. I'd also like to give a quick shoutout to Cole Carrigg and Kaelen Culpepper, who are both continuing to stay hot in the minors. Since I featured them in last week's piece, they weren't included among the three players below, but they both remain outstanding stash candidates who could be promoted any day now.

This week, we'll take a look at one very familiar name, along with a surging outfielder and starting pitcher who could both push for promotions down the road. Adding the right prospect at the right time could propel your team to a fantasy championship, as they offer upside that usually isn't available on the waiver wire. Without further ado, let's get into it.

Kade Anderson, SP, Seattle Mariners

Mariners No. 2, Overall No. 6

It's been a few weeks since I featured Kade Anderson in this piece, but he never stopped being the number one priority stash among all prospects. While it would be boring to feature him here every single week, now is a perfect time for a check-in, as many of the higher-end stash candidates have been promoted in recent weeks.

The youngster did suffer the first rough outing of his professional career on May 15, when he allowed five runs on six hits over four innings. However, he quickly bounced back, tossing 10 scoreless innings with 16 strikeouts over his next two starts. The most recent display of dominance came on Friday, when he struck out nine and gave up two hits over 5 1/3 scoreless innings against the Frisco RoughRiders.

That brings his season stats down to a minuscule 1.43 ERA and 0.75 WHIP with an eye-popping 41.9% strikeout rate and 4.4% walk rate. While this is still in Double-A, don't take the Mariners' reluctance to promote him to Triple-A as a sign not to add him in fantasy. Several teams actually prefer to keep their top pitching prospects at the Double-A level when their Triple-A team is in a very offensive-friendly environment.

Of course, there's currently no room in Seattle's rotation for the 21-year-old, as they already have Bryce Miller and Luis Castillo sharing the fifth rotation spot in a way that neither player is happy with. However, it would be unlikely for any major league team not to suffer any injuries to their starting rotation for the final four months of the year, and Anderson will definitely be ready to fill in when the Mariners need that depth.

When he does finally get the call, he will bring with him some serious value for fantasy baseball. The lefty features a solid four-pitch arsenal that looks like it's ready to compete in the big leagues. Surprisingly, his fastball typically sits 92-94 miles per hour, which is low compared to what we're used to seeing from top prospects. That makes what he's doing even more impressive, as it's a positive sign for his future longevity that he doesn't heavily rely on an outlier fastball velocity.

Verdict: Stash in 12+ team leagues

Joshua Baez, OF, St. Louis Cardinals

Cardinals N0. 3, Overall No. 67

This is the first time Joshua Baez has made an appearance in this piece, but he has been considered one of the highest upside prospects for a while now. While his place as a corner outfielder and his propensity to swing and miss have limited his prospect ranking to 67th according to MLB.com, he is a considerably better prospect in terms of overall fantasy upside.

This can easily be seen by his 2025 performance, where he slashed .287/.384/.500 with 20 home runs and 54 stolen bases in 117 games between High-A and Double-A. He's seamlessly carried that power and speed into Triple-A this season, launching 16 homers and stealing 11 bags so far. While his strikeout rate has jumped back up to 31.6% and his average sits at a non-elite .255, he would still be a must-add for fantasy purposes thanks to his 60-grade power and his aggressiveness on the basepaths.

The 22-year-old has been especially hot as of late, posting back-to-back two-homer games on May 26 and May 27, while tacking on another home run on May 28. His homers aren’t cheap either, as the youngster has put up a 94th percentile max exit velocity and 98th percentile barrel rate this season.

With players such as Bryan Torres and Nelson Velazquez picking up starts in the outfield, it could be sooner rather than later that Baez gets the call. He’d be a must-add in all leagues once he does, as his sky-high upside could make him fantasy relevant in even the shallowest of leagues. 

Verdict: Stash in 14+ team leagues

Karson Milbrandt, SP, Miami Marlins

Marlins No. 9, Overall N/A

The Marlins seem to have a never-ending supply of young pitchers in their farm system, as you may not have even heard of Karson Milbrandt until now thanks to Robby Snelling, Thomas White, and Braxton Garrett attracting the majority of the attention in the minors this year. However, with injuries to Snelling, White, and Eury Perez, suddenly Milbrandt could be close to getting his chance. 

Through his first eight starts in Double-A this season, the 22-year-old posted a 1.06 ERA and 0.90 WHIP with a 39.1% strikeout rate, which are numbers that are hard to ignore. He had gone three straight starts without allowing a run through six innings each, with a whopping 32 strikeouts over those 18 innings. 

It's time we talk about Karson Milbrandt as a possible Top-100 overall prospect.

While he did regress a bit on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks in 4 ⅔ innings, he still showcased his strikeout stuff with seven punchouts. While an immediate promotion probably isn’t imminent considering he’s still in Double-A and wasn’t considered a can’t-miss prospect before the season, Milbrandt has certainly put himself on a trajectory for a potential 2026 debut. 

The right-hander features a fastball that touches the high 90s, along with a slider, cutter, and curveball that all work well together to generate a ton of whiffs. He also throws a changeup occasionally that does not grade out as well, but it's something that can be improved upon as he continues to develop.

While it’s not worth stashing him in re-draft leagues yet, the youngster should be considered a fast-rising asset in terms of dynasty value and could push for a promotion later in the season. Especially once he advances to Triple-A, it’ll be worth monitoring his performance closely. 

Verdict: Monitor for future promotion
