ANALYSIS: The Chicago Bears struggled to find much consistency on offense in their Week 1 loss to the Vikings, but wide receiver DJ Moore still carries high-end WR3 value heading into a Week 2 tilt against the Detroit Lions. In the season opener, Moore caught three of his five targets for 68 yards. He also took three rushing attempts for eight yards.
While second-year wideout Rome Odunze appears to have claimed the top spot on the depth chart, Moore could still find value, especially if quarterback Caleb Williams continues to find his footing.
Last season, Moore enjoyed another productive campaign in Chicago, totaling 966 yards and six touchdowns on 98 receptions. This was his second-straight season catching 90+ passes and tallying 950+ receiving yards for the Bears.
This weekend, Moore and the Bears will face the Lions. In Week 1, the Lions had trouble finding much rhythm on offense, but could be poised to return to form facing the Bears on their home turf. If the game becomes a high-scoring affair, Moore could find a path to producing high-end WR3 value lining up against a weak Detroit secondary.
He should be viewed as a solid WR3/flex in all 12+ team leagues in Week 2.
