New York Yankees left-handed pitching prospect Brock Selvidge enjoyed another strong outing on Thursday against Double-A Erie. In this outing, Selvidge allowed two runs (one earned) with one hit and three walks. The left-hander was sidelined at the start of the campaign due to a biceps injury but has looked quite comfortable during his return to Double-A. Through his first 17 2/3 innings (four starts), Selvidge has posted a 3.06 ERA with a stellar 0.96 WHIP. He has struck out 16 batters and allowed nine free passes. Last season, the No. 8-ranked prospect in the Yankee system spent most of the time with Double-A Somerset and held a 4.25 ERA with a 1.39 WHIP. If he continues to progress, he should reach Triple-A in the second half.--Andy Smith
