Fantasy Football Drop Candidates

Read the recent news and fantasy outlooks of some of the top cut candidates:

Parker Washington, WR - Jacksonville Jaguars (Cut List Ranking No. 40)

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington (hip) was lifted, and eventually ruled out of Sunday's contest due to a hip injury. Washington recorded one reception for 26 yards on three targets before exiting. The 23-year-old wideout has emerged as a reliable weapon for Jacksonville and an impactful waiver wire add for fantasy managers.

Since playing a full-time role in Week 7, he's recorded 22 receptions for 266 yards and two touchdowns on 35 targets. Jakobi Meyers and Brian Thomas Jr. figure to see bumps in targets with Washington sidelined. He remains a hold in 12-team formats as he showed solid upside despite playing in a crowded WR room.

J.K. Dobbins, RB - Denver Broncos (Cut List Ranking No. 38)

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton isn't ruling out a potential return from running back J.K. Dobbins (foot) later in the year, according to Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post. Dobbins was previously ruled out for the rest of the season due to a foot injury, but if the Broncos make a deep postseason run, Dobbins might be able to return. For fantasy football purposes, managers in single-year leagues can dump Dobbins to the waiver wire if they haven't already done so, since he won't be able to help them before the end of the year.

Denver will move forward with rookie second-rounder RJ Harvey as their primary backfield option with Dobbins out, but Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie will also be involved in change-of-pace roles. Harvey will have RB2 upside the rest of the way, while McLaughlin and Badie are simply bench stashes in deeper fantasy leagues.

Kimani Vidal, RB - Los Angeles Chargers (Cut List Ranking No. 19)

Los Angeles Chargers running back Kimani Vidal bounced back in a big way during Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. In Week 11, Vidal posted a season-low 13 yards in the loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 24-year-old came ready to play out of the bye week this weekend. His biggest play of the game came in the third quarter when he rushed 59 yards for a score to give his team the lead. Vidal ended this game with a season-high 126 rushing yards on 25 attempts with one touchdown in the win.

It remains to be seen how the workload is going to be split up once Omarion Hampton (ankle) returns to the mix. Fantasy managers will need to check back throughout the week to see how that situation shakes out ahead of Week 14.

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB - New England Patriots (Cut List Ranking No. 5)

Across the first eight weeks of the 2025 season, New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson recorded 448 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on 99 touches as his team's RB1. However, Stevenson suffered a toe injury in Week 8 that forced him to miss New England's next three games across Weeks 9 through 11. During that stretch, Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson made his case to lead the team's backfield by averaging over 100 yards from scrimmage per game and scoring five touchdowns.

In Stevenson's first game back in the lineup in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Henderson remained New England's feature back. Stevenson struggled to just 10 scrimmage yards on seven touches, while Henderson logged 81 yards from scrimmage on 21 touches. The Patriots may just be bringing Stevenson along slowly in his return from injury, but it's also quite possible that the 27-year-old will be limited to backup running back duties for the rest of 2025.

Stevenson should be avoided by fantasy managers in Week 13, even in a favorable matchup against the New York Giants.

Justin Herbert, QB - Los Angeles Chargers (Cut List Ranking No. 3)

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (hand) broke a bone in his left hand during his team's Week 13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders and is scheduled to undergo a procedure on Monday. However, Herbert said he is "treating it as if I'm playing" when asked about his status for the team's Week 14 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. On the bright side, Herbert will have an extra day of rest as the Chargers play the Eagles on Monday Night Football. However, Herbert will almost certainly be compromised to some degree if he's able to play at all against Philadelphia.

Herbert completed 15 of 20 pass attempts for 151 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception against Las Vegas. If he ends up not being able to play against the Eagles, backup quarterback Trey Lance would be in line to make the start. Even if Herbert is active, fantasy managers in single-QB formats may want to look elsewhere at the quarterback position in Week 14.
