Quarterback Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups - Top QB Adds for Week 14 Include Trevor Lawrence, Tua Tagovailoa, Jacoby Brissett, more

Trevor Lawrence - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Dan's top quarterback Week 14 fantasy pickups (2025). The best QB fantasy waiver wire pickups to add and Week 14 QB streamers for 1QB, 2QB, and Superflex leagues.

Week 13 was another uneven week for fantasy football quarterbacks. All 32 teams were in action, but only seven quarterbacks surpassed 20 fantasy points, and just two (Patrick Mahomes and Jordan Love) had 25.0+ points.

Unfortunately, Week 14 will once again have four teams on bye. That is especially bad news for fantasy managers relying on Drake Maye, Brock Purdy, Jaxson Dart, or Bryce Young to get them into their fantasy playoffs. These managers will need to find a gem on the waiver wire to potentially keep their season alive.

In this article, I will focus on players under 65% rostered in fantasy leagues while adding a couple of deep sleepers for two-quarterback leagues (less than 25% rostered). Let’s look at who you consider picking up for Week 14 below. All roster percentages will be from Yahoo fantasy leagues.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Playoff Challenge #2 is back with a massive $100,000 grand prize and $203,250 total prize pool, paying down to 100th place. Here's the deal: no salary cap, no draft, no pickups, no subs. Choose 8 players, and as NFL teams get knocked out so will your players, so choose your team wisely. The entries will sell out quickly, and registrations will close on Saturday January 17th at 4:30 pm ET . Don't wait - get your team now and end your fantasy football season with a shot at $100,000! Single-QB Waiver Wire Pickups and Stashes

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars - 52% rostered

Trevor Lawrence is a roller coaster as an NFL quarterback, but since the Jaguars' bye week, he has been stellar for fantasy managers. Since Week 8, Lawrence has had four games with at least 16.0 fantasy points scored. He also has three games (including Week 13) where he scored over 20.0 points.

Week 13 was Lawrence’s first game without an interception since Week 7, and while the passing volume wasn’t elite against the hapless Tennessee Titans (229 yards and two touchdowns), Lawrence continued to flash as a rusher (three carries for 25 yards). It was the fourth time in five games since the bye that Lawrence racked up at least 20 yards.

The Jaguars’ passing attack is finally getting healthy with Brian Thomas Jr. and Brenton Strange back on the field. While the team won’t be getting rookie Travis Hunter back in 2025, the addition of Jakobi Meyers at the trade deadline gives Lawrence another target downfield.

Lawrence has a solid fantasy schedule over the next four games, facing off against Indianapolis twice (possibly without Sauce Gardner both times) in Weeks 14 and 17 and the Jets in Week 15. A matchup against Denver in Week 16 is the only difficult matchup on paper.

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins - 20% rostered

Putting your faith in Tua Tagovailoa (and the Dolphins’ offense in general) is a big ask. However, it is impossible to argue that Miami doesn’t have one of the best end-of-season schedules for fantasy quarterbacks this season.

Starting in Week 14, the Dolphins face off against the New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That is four straight matchups against teams that are in the top 12 of fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks during the 2025 season.

It is fair not to trust Tagovailoa in the short term since he has just six games with more than 10.0 fantasy points this season. He also has just two touchdowns and four interceptions since Week 8. That said, if you can stash him on your bench to wait and see if he’s capable of putting together some strong fantasy performances, he could have league-winning potential.

Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals - 63% rostered

Somehow, Jacoby Brissett still qualifies for this article. The Cardinals have been one of the highest-volume passing attacks since Brissett took over as the team’s starter in Week 6. The veteran quarterback has at least 40 pass attempts in five of seven starts this season, including four straight games.

He has three straight weeks with at least 300 passing yards (including a 457-yard effort in Week 11). Brissett has thrown at least two touchdowns in six of his seven starts as well. The veteran quarterback has also found a way to provide some rushing ability, logging at least three carries in six of seven starts and 20+ rushing yards in three of seven starts.

Brissett had another strong game for fantasy against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13, logging 19.6 fantasy points. It was the sixth time he had at least 19.0 fantasy points in his seven starts. His lowest fantasy point output is 18.6 points in Week 12.

The only reason the veteran quarterback isn’t higher on this list? Matchups against the Rams (27th in fantasy points per game allowed to quarterbacks in 2025) and Houston (32nd) over the next two weeks. However, Arizona finishes the fantasy season with matchups against the Falcons in Week 16 and the Bengals in Week 17, putting Brissett right back on the fantasy map once again.

There is a good chance that Brissett is currently rostered in your league, but there is also a chance that he finds his way onto the waiver wire with difficult matchups on the horizon. Don’t be afraid to stash him on the bench if he does.

Two-QB Waiver Wire Pickups and Stashes

Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets - 4% rostered

It hasn’t taken long for Tyrod Taylor to justify the New York Jets’ decision to bench Justin Fields to get the offense back on track. In two games as a starter, Taylor has thrown for 394 yards and two touchdowns with just one interception while adding 13 carries for 63 yards and a touchdown.

The veteran quarterback has been a steadying force for the offense, even if he isn’t putting up huge passing numbers with young passing weapons like John Metchie III and Adonai Mitchell trying to find their footing in new homes.

Taylor’s 23.2 fantasy points were his highest output of the season in a tough matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The Jets have much friendlier matchups over the next two weeks against the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars before closing out the season against the Saints and Patriots.

New York hasn’t indicated that they will turn back to Fields, which gives Taylor a chance to be fantasy relevant to close out the season, thanks to his rushing upside and steady production as a passer.

Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints - 7% rostered

2025 second-round pick Tyler Shough has had plenty of highs and lows since taking over as the team’s starting quarterback in Week 8. Shough has failed to surpass 15.0 fantasy points in three of his first five starts. In his other two starts, he’s scored at least 17.0 points.

More importantly for the rookie, the team has not shied away from letting him air the ball out since the Saints’ Week 11 bye. Over the last two weeks, Shough has attempted at least 38 passes per game. And while his passing production hasn’t been anything to write home about (482 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions), it has allowed him to generate more opportunities as a rusher (13 carries for 40 yards).

Shough has another excellent matchup in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After that, the Saints have solid, but not spectacular, fantasy matchups against the Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans. Shough will have opportunities to be a streamable quarterback in the fantasy playoffs.

Trey Lance, Los Angeles Chargers - 0% rostered

Trey Lance saw the field briefly in the Los Angeles Chargers' win against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13 after Justin Herbert suffered a hand injury. Herbert eventually returned to the field, leading many to assume that nothing was wrong.

After the game, we learned that Herbert had suffered a broken hand (non-throwing) and would have surgery on Monday to fix the issue. Head coach Jim Harbaugh did not provide any details about Herbert’s availability after the surgery.

If Herbert is out, then former first-round pick Trey Lance would be the starting quarterback for the Chargers. Lance doesn’t have a big sample size of production (14 career games played) and has been inconsistent when on the field (56.1% completion rate for 1,144 yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions).

But he does offer serious dynamism as a rusher (69 carries for 288 yards and a touchdown in his career) and could have fantasy relevance if he can limit the turnovers.

There is, of course, a chance that Herbert doesn’t miss a single game because it is on his non-throwing hand. Lance isn’t a player you should unload your FAAB budget on, but he is worth a speculative add in case Herbert is out for an extended period of time.
