Tait Reynolds Likely to Play in Week 1
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney named senior quarterback Christopher Vizzina the starter for the upcoming season opener against LSU on Tuesday, but he has not ruled out freshman Tait Reynolds getting snaps. Reynolds pushed Vizzina throughout camp and narrowly lost out on the starting job to open the season. Swinney stated that "it's likely" that the three-star freshman will see playing time on the road in Baton Rouge, although he would not guarantee it. He also mentioned that he "can't give [Vizzina] a lifetime contract," seemingly leaving the door open for Reynolds to potentially start later on in the season.
