Backfield Battle Brewing for Braelon Allen?
Braelon Allen took a step back in Week 2 regarding his share of offensive snaps. The Buffalo Bills manhandled the Jets to the tune of 30-10 at home, and whether it was due to game script or by design, Allen handled a significantly smaller snap total than in Week 1. This past weekend, the 21-year-old saw the field just nine times -- one fewer than teammate Isaiah Davis -- a stark contrast to the 20-8 lead he boasted in their matchup with Pittsburgh. The situation regarding the duo could ultimately come down to a hot-hand approach, making it murky precisely which one to own for handcuff purposes. One thing is clear, and it's that this is Breece Hall's backfield to lose. The Jets' offense seems less stable than it did a week ago, but keeping tabs on the backup here is a worthwhile endeavor.

Romeo Doubs Looks Like the WR1 in Green Bay, In Line for More Targets Going Forward?
Romeo Doubs appears to be the team's WR1 early in the season, particularly with wideout Jayden Reed (clavicle) set to miss multiple months with a fractured collarbone. Doubs leads Packers wide receivers in both receiving yards (96) and targets (nine). Green Bay operates with a run-heavy approach and still has multiple talented pass-catchers even without Reed, so Doubs' week-to-week target volume could be inconsistent. Still, he's going to be on the field a lot for an offense that should score points in bunches, giving him a fairly steady floor. Doubs should be added in all PPR-scoring fantasy leagues with 10 or more teams.

Jaylen Warren on the Verge of Fantasy Stardom?
Jaylen Warren is a top-12 fantasy option at his position through the first two weeks of the season. The fourth-year pro hauled in all four of his targets for 86 yards in Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. While his efficiency on the ground leaves room for improvement, Warren currently leads Pittsburgh in both rushing and receiving heading into a Week 3 duel against the New England Patriots. The inconsistencies we've seen from the Steelers' offense are likely to continue throughout the year, but Warren appears locked in as a focal point. Rookie Kaleb Johnson made a costly mistake on special teams and will need to earn the trust of the coaching staff before carving out an offensive role, while veteran Kenneth Gainwell has been ineffective with his touches to this point. All things considered, Warren is shaping up to be one of the best values in fantasy drafts and can be reliably started as an RB2 moving forward.

Bhayshul Tuten an Emerging Piece in Jaguars Offense?
Bhayshul Tuten logged 10 touches in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, finishing with 74 yards from scrimmage and a receiving touchdown. In Jacksonville's first game after trading away running back Tank Bigsby to the Philadelphia Eagles, Tuten looks like the team's clear RB2 behind Travis Etienne Jr. The 23-year-old Tuten has flashed upside as an explosive playmaker and should have a role with the Jaguars even if Etienne Jr. stays healthy. If Etienne Jr. were to get injured, Tuten would immediately become a must-start fantasy running back. Where available, Tuten should be a priority waiver-wire addition in all league formats.

Breece Hall Runs Cold in Week 2 Shellacking - Rebound on Tap?
Breece Hall and the New York Jets' offense. The 24-year-old exploded for 107 rushing yards in the team's season opener, notching his first 100-yard effort on the ground since Week 6 of last season. However, Buffalo's defense proved too much for quarterback Justin Fields, who seemed to regress after his superb outing against the Steelers. Now, it's unclear which version we'll get from week to week. It isn't all doom and gloom for Hall, as he's either tied for or outright been the team's second-leading target getter in both games. Furthermore, he's very clearly the No. 1 option out of the backfield. Expectations need to be tempered for the time being, but the fourth-year pro still has a clear path to production. He'll look to get back on track in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Carson Wentz Set Up for Success in Minnesota?
Carson Wentz appears to have a multi-game runway as the team's starter, with Minnesota QB1 J.J. McCarthy (ankle) set to miss two to four weeks with a high ankle sprain. The 33-year-old Wentz has started two games over the past two seasons while playing for the Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs. In his last real stretch as a starter, he played in eight games for the Washington Commanders in 2022, throwing for 1,755 yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has had success with quarterback reclamation projects before, so Wentz could be in a good position to succeed in Minnesota. He could be a sneaky add in two-quarterback formats ahead of the Vikings' Week 3 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Troy Franklin Emerging as the Clear WR2 in Denver?
Troy Franklin had a breakout game in Week 2, recording eight catches for 89 yards and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts. The second-year wideout now has 12 catches for 133 yards and a score through the first two games of the season. Franklin's 15 targets lead the team, ahead of even star Denver wide receiver Courtland Sutton. Franklin has a tough matchup in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers, but he's still a player for fantasy managers to target on the waiver wire given his emerging role in Denver. Franklin should be added in all PPR-scoring leagues with 14 or more teams.

Grounded: Garrett Wilson, Jets' Offense Stall After Week 1 Outburst
Garrett Wilson and the remainder of the offense came crashing back to Earth in their 30-10 home loss to the Buffalo Bills. Justin Fields looked like a completely different player in Week 2, completing just 3-of-11 passes for 27 yards. In turn, the rest of New York's skill players struggled. If not for backup QB Tyrod Taylor somewhat salvaging Wilson's line (4/50), it'd have been an even worse outing. It's been a mixed bag for the Jets thus far. While Wilson's talent is of the upper echelon, consistent WR1 production will be challenging to come by in his current situation. Volume should keep him afloat to some degree for fantasy, but the Ohio State alum is more of a volatile, WR2/3 until the offense shows some stability. He'll get the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.

Rhamondre Stevenson The Clear Starter in New England
Rhamondre Stevenson continues to operate as the lead back in New England. Stevenson delivered a strong Week 2 performance against the Miami Dolphins, rushing 11 times for 54 yards while adding five receptions for 88 yards. With rookie TreVeyon Henderson struggling in pass protection, Stevenson has reclaimed a significant role, logging 66% of the snaps and running a route on 43% of dropbacks through two weeks. The Patriots now face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3, a defense that has already allowed 100-yard rushing games to both Breece Hall and Kenneth Walker, despite neither reaching 20 carries. Stevenson projects as a mid-range RB3 and a solid FLEX play against a vulnerable Steelers run defense.

Woody Marks Secures RB2 Role In Houston
Woody Marks carved out a role in Monday night's 20-19 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The rookie logged three carries for 14 yards and added a splash play through the air with a 37-yard reception. Notably, Dameon Pierce was a healthy scratch despite being listed as the RB2 on the depth chart. Marks played the second-most snaps (27%) among Houston backs, trailing Nick Chubb (53%) but ahead of Dare Ogunbowale (20%). With Joe Mixon (IR, no timetable) sidelined and Chubb carrying a lengthy injury history of his own, Marks has legitimate handcuff value and should be rostered in deeper formats. If his usage continues to trend upward, Marks could emerge as a meaningful fantasy contributor later in the season, if Mixon doesn't return.

Zach Ertz Continues His Touchdown Streak
Zach Ertz has been on a scoring tear, finding the end zone eight times in his last nine regular-season games while averaging over 11 half-PPR fantasy points per contest. The veteran has been a steady safety blanket for young quarterback Jayden Daniels, running a route on over 80% of dropbacks in each of the first two weeks. However, Daniels is questionable for Week 3 with a knee injury, and his absence could cap Ertz's upside. Still, Ertz remains a strong waiver-wire target for tight-end-needy teams, with the caveat that his value is tied closely to Daniels being under center.

Daniel Jones Having Career Resurgence in Indianapolis
Daniel Jones is off to a resurgent start in 2025. The former Giants quarterback has completed 45 of 63 passes for 588 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers through two games. He's also been a weapon on the ground, punching in three rushing scores, all by the patented "Dimes Dive" at the goal line. Jones currently sits as the QB2 overall in fantasy, while the Colts have jumped out to a 2-0 start after edging the Denver Broncos in a thriller. Surrounded by a strong supporting cast that includes Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, and rookie tight end Tyler Warren, Jones has legitimate QB1 upside moving forward, especially if Indianapolis continues to feature him on designed runs near the end zone.

Jake Browning Has QB2 Value
Jake Browning is expected to take over as the starter for the foreseeable future after Joe Burrow (toe) was ruled out for at least the next three months with turf toe. Browning entered in the second quarter of Week 2 and led the Bengals to a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, completing 21 of 32 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns. The 28-year-old started seven games in 2023, where he impressed by completing over 70% of his passes while averaging 266.9 yards per game with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions. While turnovers remain a concern, Browning has shown enough efficiency to keep Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins near the top of the rankings at the WR position. He should be rostered in all Superflex formats and can be viewed as a mid-to-low QB2 over the next three months.

Bengals Sign Sean Clifford to Practice Squad
Sean Clifford to their practice squad. A 2023 fifth-round pick, Clifford spent his rookie season with the Green Bay Packers and has yet to attempt a pass in the NFL. With Joe Burrow (toe) sidelined for at least the next three months, Clifford joins Jake Browning and Mike White in the quarterback room. Browning is expected to start in Burrow's absence, while White and Clifford serve strictly as depth options. From a fantasy perspective, Clifford carries no value and should remain on the waiver wire.

Bengals Sign Mike White to Practice Squad
Mike White to their practice squad. The former fifth-round pick has started seven games across his four-year career, completing 61% of his passes for 2,247 yards, nine touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. With Joe Burrow (toe) sidelined for at least the next three months, Jake Browning was the only healthy quarterback on the active roster. While some speculated Cincinnati might pursue names like Jameis Winston or even Kirk Cousins, the move signals confidence in Browning as the starter, with White brought in strictly as depth. From a fantasy perspective, White remains off the radar, but he profiles as the insurance option the Bengals want behind Browning.
