Brandon Montour Registers Two Assists In Loss
6 years agoAnaheim Ducks defenseman Brandon Montour picked up a pair of assists in a 4-2 loss against the visiting Buffalo Sabres on Sunday night. Montour's assists were his first of the season as he had posted just one goal in his previous eight contests on the campaign. The 24-year-old is coming off an impressive rookie season with the Ducks, tallying 32 points (nine goals, 23 assists), a plus-16 rating, 160 shots and 96 hits in 80 games in 2017-2018. Considering Montour's increase in ice-time throughout the first nine games (22:11 versus 20:38 last season), he could start finding the scoresheet with more regularity in his sophomore season. He'll look to build on his multi-point performance against the Blackhawks on Tuesday.
