NFL Week 16 Power Rankings: Where Do All 32 NFL Teams Stand?

Lamar Jackson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Ryan Kirksey ranks all 32 NFL teams after 15 weeks of the 2023 season based on how well they have played through their first 14 games.

As we head into the last three weeks of the NFL season, we are starting to get a better sense of who these 32 teams are. Injuries, inefficiencies, and mega-popstar distractions have impacted NFL teams in different ways through the league's first 15 weeks. On the other hand, there have been some major positive surprises and stellar play from unexpected sources.

Teams like the New York Jets, the Minnesota Vikings, the Houston Texans, and the Jacksonville Jaguars have all moved drastically since our Preseason Power Rankings from early August. It's just further proof that the landscape of the NFL can change on a dime after any given Sunday.

So what do the NFL power rankings look like 15 weeks into the regular season? Here is our ranking of all 32 NFL teams.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Super Bowl Contenders

1.  San Francisco 49ers (11-3)

Want one more piece of evidence that this 49ers team can just absolutely cut your throat in a variety of ways? San Francisco has five scores this season over 50 yards, and all of them have come from different players (McCaffrey, Kittle, Aiyuk, Samuel, Ward). Oh yes, and Brock Purdy is the MVP.

2. Baltimore Ravens (11-3)

I told my wife all I wanted for Christmas was three and a half hours of quiet on Monday night.

Something To Prove Before Playoffs

3. Miami Dolphins (10-4)

Imagine if the Dolphins were fully healthy right now. They listed 17 players on their Thursday practice injury report.

4. Dallas Cowboys (10-4)

Narrator: They did not, in fact, "feel it" after the game ended.

5. Philadelphia Eagles (10-4)

Last season, the Eagles were fifth in the NFL in takeaways, and this year they are down to 26th. The lack of short fields for the offense may hurt them in playoff time and means Jalen Hurts has to be perfect to win their games against the best teams. He has been far from perfect with 15 turnovers.

6. Detroit Lions (10-4)

Did Sam LaPorta just pass C.J. Stroud for Offensive Rookie of the Year? It's getting close.

7. Kansas City Chiefs (9-5)

The Rashee Rice evolution is here. Despite getting just 23 air yards, Rice caught nine of nine targets for 91 yards and a score on Sunday. Most importantly, he ran more than 90% of the routes for the first time all season and out-targeted everyone else on the team. Patrick Mahomes has a reliable wide receiver heading into the postseason.

The Backup Brigade

8. Cleveland Browns (9-5)

The Cleveland Browns might make the playoffs with Joe Flacco at quarterback because Darnell Mooney has butterfingers, and I love it.

9.  Cincinnati Bengals (8-6)

Guess who is a free agent next year? Would you take Jake Browning over all of these quarterbacks? I think you would.

Zach Wilson
Tommy Devito
Daniel Jones
Aidan O'Connell
Kenny Pickett
Mitch Trubisky
Mason Rudolph
Bailey Zappe
Mac Jones

10.  Indianapolis Colts (8-6)

I want to see the Michael Pittman Jr. scorched-earth tour in the postseason after he got his head darn near knocked off last week. I think Gardner Minshew is just the man to make it happen.

Winning Record, But We're Not In Yet

11. Buffalo Bills (8-6)

Guess who's back, guess who's back, guess who's back...

12. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-6)

The Jacksonville Jaguars are 2-0 in London and 6-6 in the United States. The two Super Bowl contenders beat them by a combined score of 57-10 over the last six weeks. They are the winners of the weekly Logan Roy "You Are Unserious" Award.

13. Houston Texans (8-6)

Still Time To Make Some Noise

14.  Los Angeles Rams (7-7)

One of the best wide receivers in the NFL is officially back and the Rams are looking DANGEROUS for the postseason.

15.  Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7)

Baker Mayfield is currently on pace for more than 4,000 yards, almost 30 touchdowns, 10 picks, a division title, and a QB rating over 95. If you had those on your Bingo card in the preseason, please go buy yourself a lottery ticket.

16. Seattle Seahawks (7-7)

Okay, I'm officially a Drew Lock fan now. Way to waste him all those years, Denver.

17.  New Orleans Saints (7-7)

Derek Carr threw three touchdowns without Chris Olave last week and now gets his best weapon back for Thursday Night Football. All of a sudden, the Saints/Bucs game on New Year's Eve has become must-watch TV.

18.  Minnesota Vikings (7-7)

Every year there is an unlikely, unheralded player who helps guide his team to the playoffs. Ladies and gentlemen, Ty Chandler!

19.  Denver Broncos (7-7)

The Courtland Sutton touchdown regression train hit him hard this past week and now the Broncos face multiple teams and tie-breaker scenarios that can keep them out of the postseason over the next three weeks.

20. Green Bay Packers (6-8)

According to Jacob Morley, Jayden Reed is just the second rookie ever (along with Tyreek Hill) to record six receiving touchdowns, multiple 50+ yard catches, 500 receiving yards, 100 rushing yards, and multiple rushing touchdowns.

The Quarterback Debates

21.  Chicago Bears (5-9)

Perhaps my most anticipated offseason storyline will be what the Bears decide to do with Justin Fields and the number one pick in the draft. He is excelling at the right time at least, with averages of 203 passing yards and 74 rushing yards in the three games leading up to the mighty Browns defense last week.

22.  Atlanta Falcons (6-8)

I bet you can guess what hashtag was trending on Sunday...

23.  Pittsburgh Steelers (7-7)

It's time (for more pain for Steelers fans).

24. Las Vegas Raiders (6-8)

The 63 points the Raiders put up on the hapless Chargers last Thursday night was more than they had in their previous four games combined. Aidan O'Connell may or may not be the answer for this team, but Antonio Pierce certainly is.

The Fun Has Officially Ended

25. New York Giants (5-9)

The DeVito/Jones quarterback debate should be a fun (and funny) one this offseason for Giants fans. And no matter who gets the job, the rest of the NFL fandom wins!

26. New York Jets (5-9)

This whole Aaron Rodgers - Nick Bawden situation makes an already unlikable Rodgers downright deplorable. At least the Jets did an about-face and made the right decision.

27. Tennessee Titans (5-9)

Will Levis giveth (like in Week 14 against the Dolphins) and Will Levis taketh away. Or more like Will Levis couldn't give in the first place because a patchwork Houston Texans defense held Levis to 199 yards, one interception, and no touchdowns. There isn't really a debate about who will be the Titans QB going into 2024, but Levis is going to need some serious coaching up in the offseason.

28. Los Angeles Chargers (5-9)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

We Had Our Vacations Booked Last Month

29.  Washington Commanders (4-10)

Not a good look for the anointed quarterback Sam Howell to be benched after going 11-for-26 with 102 yards and then have Jacoby Brissett play less than a half and put up 124 yards and two touchdowns.

30.   Arizona Cardinals (3-11)

Here's some fun with numbers. Based on two starts against the Cardinals, if Christian McCaffrey played 17 games against them, he would average 19 carries, 110 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, six catches, 72 receiving yards, and 1.5 receiving touchdowns per game. On the season, that would mean 1,870 rushing yards, 34 rushing touchdowns, 102 receptions, 1,224 receiving yards, and 25 receiving touchdowns for a full season.

31. New England Patriots (3-11)

The Patriots will desperately try to cling to the second pick in the NFL Draft over the next two weeks. Just when you thought Bailey Zappe was turning a corner...

We Won A Game 9-7!!

32. Carolina Panthers (2-12)

At least fans didn't have to pay much to sit through three hours of rain and no offense.
