Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups - Week 4

Hunter Renfrow - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Justin Carter's fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 4 of the 2021 NFL season. His free agent WRs to add, stream and stash off waivers.

Another week of NFL action is behind us. The Bucs lost. The Chiefs lost. Mike Williams continued his breakout season. The Steelers were forced to throw the football to Chase Claypool 15 times. Sports!

Below, you'll find some wideouts that you should be targeting on the waiver wire ahead of Week 4.

Not all options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster. Check out our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 4 for help at all the skill positions. All players on this list here are around 50% rostered or below.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. Jakobi Meyers, New England Patriots

58% rostered

We finally got to see some of what made Meyers a solid fantasy option down the stretch last year: volume. He was targeted 14 times, catching nine passes for 94 yards. Quarterback Mac Jones and company have some really soft passing defenses coming up on the schedule, making Meyers an ideal player to get you through the next month if you're dealing with injuries. Consider him a WR3 play going forward.

Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills

53% rostered

Look, I don't necessarily want Cole Beasley on my roster because of reasons, but he was targeted 13 times this week. It was the second time this season he had 13 targets, and he turned them into 11 catches for 98 yards. Josh Allen finally looked like Josh Allen this week, and the Bills offense was unstoppable. Assuming that continues – and the schedule suggests it should – then Beasley will be a high-floor play in full PPR leagues. I'd go as far as to say that if he's on the waiver wire in full PPR, something's wrong with your league.

Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals

51% rostered

It was a slow start for the Cardinals, but the team eventually got it together. With Kyler throwing the football, there's going to be a lot of yards available for these receivers, especially with the team spreading the ball around more this year. Kirk caught seven passes for 104 yards and was targeted eight times, all season highs. Kirk's got at least 65 yards in each game. He's a WR3/4 play who should be rostered in most leagues.

Marquez Callaway, New Orleans Saints

37% rostered

I mean...what do we do with this receiving group? Jameis isn't throwing the ball as much as you want, but Callaway was ostensibly the No. 1 receiver for this team today, catching four passes for 41 yards and a score. He's been targeted nine times over the past two games. He's a decent low-end flex option against the Giants next week.

Emmanuel Sanders, Buffalo Bills

25% rostered

Sanders had been getting targets, but hadn't produced a ton with them. Until now. The veteran wideout saw six targets again, but this week he turned them into five catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns. If Josh Allen is hurling the football like this, Sanders is going to have some strong showings. He'll have a low floor some weeks, but if you target the right matchups – Houston next week, for instance – then you should be able to get a solid flex play out of Sanders.

Tim Patrick, Denver Broncos

22% rostered

Patrick saw the same number of targets as Courtland Sutton, and both players caught all five. While Sutton had 37 yards, Patrick had 98 of them. K.J. Hamler exited with a knee injury, allowing Patrick to continue establishing himself as the team's No. 2 receiver.....at least until Jerry Jeudy is back. Patrick is a streaming flex option until the Broncos get Jeudy back.

A.J. Green, Arizona Cardinals

15% rostered

So, what to make of A.J. Green? The veteran receiver has exactly six targets in every game this season. Sunday was the first time he had a vintage A.J. Green performance, catching five passes for 112 yards. Green has put up double-digit fantasy points in consecutive weeks and should probably be rostered in deeper leagues, at least as long as he stays healthy.

Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders

11% rostered

I keep telling people to pick up Renfrow and people keep not picking up Renfrow. He has at least five catches in every game. He has two games with 70-plus yards. He caught a touchdown this week. In a deep PPR league, Renfrow gives you a solid floor. He won't win you a week, but he's someone you can plug in in a pinch and not get screwed over by. That's worth something.

DeSean Jackson, Los Angeles Rams

2% rostered

Sure, this game came against a banged-up Buccaneers defense, but we can't ignore that DeSean Jackson did DeSean Jackson things. Not many players can post 120 yards on just three receptions like Jackson. Sure, he entered this game with just two targets and 17 snaps played all year, but Jackson is such an interesting deep threat that you might want to roster him in a 14-team league just for the potential for a boom week when you're dealing with injuries or byes.

Kendrick Bourne, New England Patriots

0% rostered

I was high on Bourne when he moved to the Pats, but he had just three catches through the first two weeks of the season. Bourne was targeted eight times this week, pulling down six passes for 96 yards and a score. With more targets available with James White injured, is there room for Bourne to carve out a role? Managers in 14-team leagues could do worse than taking a chance on him considering his next four games are Tampa, Houston, Dallas, and the Jets.

Kalif Raymond, Detroit Lions

0% rostered

The Lions lost a heartbreaker to fall to 0-3, but this is a team that's continuing to fight. It looks like Jared Goff has found him a new favorite wide receiver! Kalif Raymond was targeted 10 times, finishing with six catches for 68 yards. The team's other four receivers combined – and I'm going to repeat, COMBINED – for four targets, three catches, and 19 yards. COMBINED. If you roster any Lions receiver, it might need to be Raymond, who now has two games with 50-plus yards.
