ESL Pro League Season 14

Best of 3

  • NiP (+250) vs. Gambit (-300)
  • Furia (+400) vs. Team Liquid (-650)
  • Entropiq (-600) vs. TeamOne (+365)

Captain Plays

Forester: I talked about El1an last time I picked Entropiq so this time, I'm going with Forester in this one. During this event, he has the highest rating on his team at 1.01. This is pretty good considering that they have lost all but 1 game so far in the tournament. He played really well against Gambit and Furia. He did struggle against NiP and Liquid though. Over the last month of play, he has a 1.08 K/D with a .73 KPR and a .68 DPR. This matchup is an excellent one for Entropiq as they are the only game on this slate that I'm confident ends up being a sweep. I also like the discount we get on Forester compared to how pricey El1an is.

sh1ro: This dude just doesn't die often. He has had one bad game so far in this tournament and it was Gambit's one map loss so far. Other than that he has been great with a K/D differential of +14, +13, +15, +10 in 4 different maps. and so far during this tournament, he has a 1.45 K/D with a .72 KPR and an insane .49 DPR. He's been great and I don't see them letting off the gas here against NiP in hopes of sending them packing in this tournament. He's also an interesting price of 8,600$ which is a great price to grab him at.

Other captain plays in order of preference: Ax1le, EliGe, Hobbit, El1an

Value Plays

Lack1: When you get really deep into the players, there isn't much down towards the bottom so taking the team that is most likely to sweep and grabbing their cheap player is usually a great one to go to. So far in their one win, that has been Lack1's best game. He went +6 and got the sweep. Entropiq is still fighting for a playoff spot, and they absolutely need a win here. TeamOne is out and just playing for pride at this point. If you can afford to go to a player like Nickelback I would do so but in this position where Entropiq should get the sweep, I think paying up elsewhere might be the move and getting the sweep bonus out of Lack1.

KSCERATO: This is a pure GPP play. Liquid has been playing great but if you want to go the GPP route then I highly recommend going FURIA. FURIA just took down NiP today and is looking to sneak into the playoffs. They absolutely need a win here though and if anyone is going to lead them to that point, it is KSCERATO. This dude has been lighting it up during the playoffs and is the big reason FURIA even has a chance. He has had a K/D differential of +8 or better in 6 of his 9 maps. Two of the maps he didn't were in blowout losses to Gambit. He is only 7k too and is holding a 1.30 K/D with a .81 KPR and a low .62 DPR. Like I said GPP play, but a great one at that.

Other value plays in order of preference: Stewie2k, Krad, nafany, interz(punt), yuurih (GPP)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Entropiq: The safest pick here, is Entropiq. They still have a slim chance to make the playoffs, but absolutely need a win here. So I do believe that we see this team coming out and making sure they secure this win. The prices on this team are fairly soft as well. We are getting a great price on Lack1 at 5,800 and will be a great value play. El1an and Forester are your next best options as well they are the top fraggers on the team. Forester has been the best on the team during the tournament, but El1an is always a threat to be one of the best in the game. I highly recommend either stacking them or making multiple lines with them separately. When it comes to Krad or Nickelback. It is a toss-up on who is going to be the one who does better. I give the edge to Nickelback but it's very slight. This should be a 2-0 win and the safest stack on this slate.

Other stacking options: Liquid, Gambit, Furia (GPP)
