Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (9/3/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 9/3/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. It was almost an all sweep kind of day until Gambit made a big comeback and won maps 2 and 3 and stole the game away from Liquid. Furia barely squeaked by TeamOne as that was probably their only chance to get a win in this tournament. NiP made quick work of Entropiq, as well as Plopski, popped off as well as device. Tomorrow we get NiP taking on TeamOne, Entropiq, and Liquid face-off, and lastly, Gambit gets FURIA.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Friday, September 3rd, 2021, at 7:30, am

ESL Pro League Season 14

Best of 3

  • NiP (-1400) vs. TeamOne (+650)
  • Team Liquid (-240) vs. Entropiq (+175)
  • Gambit (-1000) vs. FURIA (+550)

Captain Plays

EliGe: At this point, I don't know how I don't mention him. He is playing at an insane level and really carrying this team to victory. In their first match of the tournament, he dropped 54 kills on a +30 K/D differential against NiP. Then almost helped pull off the upset today against Gambit. Either way, he still went positive and was averaging 22 kills a game. This man is insane and now gets Entropiq who looked awful against NiP today. I think this Liquid team is finally here to play and I love that. He is quite expensive but I think we get a sweep and he should pay off his price. So far he is averaging a 1.41 K/D in this tournament with a .85 KPR and a .61 DPR.

Hobbit: I really went back and forth for a while between hobbit and device. So honestly you can't go wrong with either guy in their situation. Both are more than likely going to sweep. Device just has a higher chance to Top frag. Hobbit is cheaper though and he looked phenomenal today as he and sh1ro really stepped up and brought today's game back into the win column. So far hobbit has the highest rating on his team at a 1.27 in this tournament so far. And I really like the matchup he is in, Gambit should have no issue with FURIA, who struggled heavily with TeamOne today. So far in the tournament, Hobbit is averaging a 1.27 K/D with a .81 KPR and a low .64 DPR.

Other captain plays in order of preference: device, Plopski, Sh1ro, Ax1le, El1an

Value Plays

FalleN: I think we are getting great value out of the Brazilian AWPer on Liquid. He has really helped turn this team into a contender and has been great so far in the tournament. He went +15 on 40 kills in their first game and was +3 going into map 3 today before Gambit really took over and he ended up negative. I don't see that happening here tomorrow against Gambit. And especially at 7,200$, he is well worth the price. So far in this tournament, he is averaging a .63 KPR and a very low .56 DPR with a 1.14 K/D. He is also my favorite pair with EliGe.

LNZ: Pure hope of getting a sweep bonus right here. He is 6,200$ and is facing TeamOne. TeamOne has been swept both times so far and now gets a good NiP team. LNZ isn't in the slightest that great, but we can hope for him to go positive and get that sweep bonus. There is a lot of expensive plays on the board so grabbing LNZ makes it a little bit easier in grabbing these guys. LNZ is about as cheap as I really like to get on this slate without going down to someone like Stewie2k or playing a GPP play such as Lack1 or Yuurih. NiP won today and LNZ went +2, so let's hope for something similar and hope NiP doesn't give up a map!

Other value plays in order of preference: NAF, Grim, KSCERATO(GPP), Lack1(PUNT), Stewie2k

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Liquid: Surprisingly enough, Liquid is my favorite stack and they have the closest odds for tomorrow's games. I have no doubt NiP and Gambit both sweep their opponents, but something about Liquid recently has got me on the hype train for them. They almost pulled off a massive upset against Gambit today. They get an Entropiq team that looked to struggle against NiP and with how Liquid dismantled NiP in their first game. I could Liquid doing the same to Entropiq.

As for players, EliGe and Fallen are my two favorites to go to. Now really it's between NAF and Grim on who you want to grab for your third if you want to go that direction. NAF is definitely the safer pick but he is by far the more expensive pick. If you have other plays that are cheap and allow you to get NAF, then that's the way I would look. If you are looking for cheap though it's gotta be Grim. He looked good in the first game but struggled in today's game. Grim is a bit riskier but I like him in sweep situations and at his price, he's worth a shot.

Other stacking options: NiP, Gambit, Entropiq (GPP)
