Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (9/2/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 9/2/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. Interesting first day of Group D it was, First map for Gambit was kept very close with TeamOne and then Map 2 ended in a blowout. Entropiq swept FURIA and Lack1 killed it at his cheap price. Lastly, ELiGe broke the slate and dropped a 100 DKP bomb, and swept NiP basically single-handedly. Tomorrow we start the day off with FURIA taking on TeamOne, NiP takes on Entropiq, and then we end the day with what should be a great match between Gambit and Team Liquid.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Thursday, September 2nd, 2021, at 7:30, am

ESL Pro League Season 14

Best of 3

  • Furia (-260) vs. TeamOne (+190)
  • NiP (-180) vs. Entropiq (+140)
  • Gambit (-240) vs. Team Liquid (+180)

Captain Plays

KSCERATO: Furia almost came back and won both maps but came up short against Entropiq. They now get TeamOne who could be this group's G2 or BNB. Furia might have lost but KSCERATO still had a great game as he was the top fragger for his team and dropped 50 kills with a +9 K/D differential. Over the last three months, KSCERATO has been elite, he has a 1.31 K/D with a .81 KPR and a .62 DPR. He is in a great position to collect a sweep bonus as well as a high kill game. Kscerato is my favorite play on the board by far.

El1an: This is more of a GPP play, as Entropiq is underdogs here but I think we are getting a great price on El1an at 8,600$ who is normally one of the top fraggers for Entropiq.  They looked quite dominant today in their win over FURIA, and I like them to at least steal a map here. They have been playing well since the break and have won 5 straight now. NIP looked very sus today as they got ran by Elige and the rest of TeamLiquid. Over the last month for El1an has been averaging a 1.26 K/D with a .70 KPR and a very low .56 DPR.

Other captain plays in order of preference: Ax1le, yuurih, device, EliGe(GPP), sh1ro, REZ

Value Plays

Hobbit: I think we are getting great value for a top play from Gambit here. At 7,400, Hobbit is definitely a viable option. And is even a great option as a cheap captain move, so you can afford more Gambit or FURIA players. Today against TeamOne he stepped up as he dropped 43 kills with a +9 K/D differential. Gambit has been always one of the top teams online and they really showed that in Map 2 today. Over the last three months, Hobbit has averaged a 1.11 K/D with a .70 KPR and a .63 DPR. At 7,400, Hobbit is a great pivot from the top plays from Gambit and you are getting a top play for a very good price.

arT: For value play from FURIA, we got arT. He had a great game today as well even though his team lost today. He is also only 6,400$, as the team AWPer, we are getting great value. Normally AWPers die less often than the rest of the team, and in a game that FURIA should win, I could see him being one of the players that have a nice K/D at the end of the game due to the lack of deaths he might have. Over the last three months, arT is averaging a 1.02 K/D with a .70 KPR and a .68 DPR. I mainly recommend using arT if you are fully stacking them. Otherwise, KSCERATO and Yuurih would be the better plays.

Other value plays in order of preference: nafany, EliGe(GPP), device, Lack1, VINI

Top Stacks / Team Picks

FURIA: Furia is in a great spot to get a sweep, and I think has the highest chance of doing so tomorrow. Liquid looked really good today and I think has the potential to at least steal a map from Gambit. Entropiq vs NiP should be a battle and could honestly go either way. For Furia, they kept it close today with a very good Entropiq team and now get TeamOne who has lost 4 of the 5 maps against FURIA in the 2 matches played this year. This should be another 2-0 for FURIA and that makes pretty much all players viable.

Guerri is the only one I'm not really looking into using. He is very expensive and seems to be that expensive because of how well he did the first map and not how bad he did in map 2 where he went -11 and only 8 kills. Kscerato is my favorite and is my top play for the day. Yuurih struggled today, but he has normally been one of the other top plays for FURIA and I think he rebounds here. Between arT and VINI, I give the slight edge to arT. I do however like VINI for his price of 5,200 and I think he provides a lot of salary relief, but he is very reliant on getting that sweep bonus. And if TeamOne happens to steal a map, VINI might not end up scoring as well as we hope.

Other stacking options: Gambit, Entropiq, NiP, Liquid(GPP)
