Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (9/1/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 9/1/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. Group C is done, Fnatic, Mouz, and NaVi take the top 3 spots as they all won today and knocked their opponents out of contention. The 4th and final group is upon us and we got some good teams in here. First off we have Gambit making their return against TeamOne. Next, we have Furia and Entropiq in a great matchup, and lastly, NiP gets Team Liquid which could make for an interesting game.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, at 7:30 am

ESL Pro League Season 14

Best of 3

  • Gambit (-2500) Vs. TeamOne (+1000)
  • Furia (+190) vs. Entropiq (-260)
  • NiP (-150) vs. Team Liquid (+110)

Captain Plays

Sh1ro/Ax1le: Gambit are the top dogs, so stacking them and getting that crucial RNP bonus is going to end up being nice. This should be a blowout as Gambit is 2nd in the world and is one of the best online teams in the world. TeamOne has lost their last 5 best of three matches against worse opponents. The 3 maps that have been played by Gambit against Team One, all resulted in a 16-5 win. I expect something similar here. Both of these guys are normally the top fraggers, and every once in a while Hobbit will sneak into the mix. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, to be honest either. Ax1le has a 1.22 K/D with a .75 KPR and a .62 DPR. Sh1ro has a 1.40 K/D with a .72 KPR and a very low .52 KPR.

device: Device is cheap. 7k. I could see him being a bit of chalk captain at this price, but I don't understand why. Yes, he hasn't been great since joining NiP. But he also hasn't been 7k worthy. In his last 4 wins, he has been positive in all those games and has been top fragger in his most recent two. Including a win over Team Liquid, where he had an insane stat line of 73-37 over three maps. I do think NiP wins this one once again and we should definitely see device be towards the top of the leaderboard. over his last three months of play, device is averaging a 1.10 K/D with a .70 KPR and a .64 DPR.

Other captain plays in order of preference: Hobbit, nafany, REZ, El1an, Forester, EliGe(GPP), KSCERATO, NAF

Value Plays

Lack1: I think you are getting insane value with Lack1 here. If you are going for an Entropiq stack, at 4,800$ he is a great start. I also really like the fact that Entroiq has had a few warm-up games before coming into this tournament. Something Furia doesn't have. Entropiq is favored slightly heavy but I do think they win this. Lack1 over the last month of play has a 1.11 K/D with a .65 KPR and a low .59 DPR. I also think Nickelback could be a good option as well, but I like him more in sweep situations than I do in what could go 3 maps. I think we take advantage of Entropiq being warmed up while we can as FURIA is a good team but is coming in on a 7-week layoff.

Plopski: I think this is more of a risky play as since device joined the team, he has really regressed, but he has shown in winning games that he can pop off. He went for +11 against Liquid in their last matchup and at 6k, he could be worth a shot on. I would say save this play for a 3 man stack of NiP if that is that route you choose to go. I do prefer REZ or hampus more than Plopski but if you need a cheap play for an extra piece to a NiP stack then I would definitely take Plopski over LNZ.

Other value plays in order of preference: device, hampus, Yuurih(GPP), Krad, Grim(GPP)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Gambit: This is clearly the move, a lot was talked about in the Ax1le and Sh1ro Captain spot, but it can't be iterated enough, that this is going to be a quick game. All three maps they have played against each other have been at the result of 16-5. If this was on LAN, I would give TeamOne a slightly better chance. But since it's online, I give virtually no chance to TeamOne winning. Gambit is one of the most dominant online teams right now. Stack them heavy and stack them proud.

As for Players. I would grab at least two of Hobbit, Sh1ro, or Ax1le. Hell if you can fit all three even better, but that will be difficult. Nafany would be the next option I would look to as he hasn't been too bad either and his price, he can very well hit that. I can't really recommend playing interz, but at 6,200$ as long as he has a positive game, he should score in the mid-50s but I don't see him scoring much higher than that.

Other stacking options: Entropiq, NiP, Liquid(GPP)
