Xander Schauffele Rounding into Form Heading to Players Championship
Xander Schauffele finished tied for 24th at last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational, and this was followed by a tie for seventh finish at the Genesis Invitational two weeks ago. Schauffele has now rattled off three straight top-25 finishes, and he has gained strokes across the board in his two prior starts. Schauffele finished 72nd in last year's PLAYERS Championship and tied for second in the 2024 edition. Over the past 12 months, Schauffele ranks in the 82nd percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from 100-150 yards in the fairway. This is important because over 30% of approach shots came from this distance at last year's PLAYERS Championship.
