Matchups We Love
QB Drake Maye
Drake Maye has definitely cooled off a bit in fantasy. He has scored under 20 fantasy points in four straight games and has finished outside the top-12 at the QB position in three of the past four weeks. However, Maye has a fantastic matchup against a Giants defense that has allowed a top-12 fantasy QB finish in six of its last seven games. So, Maye is a strong QB1.
Patriots RBs
Even with Rhamondre Stevenson back last week, it was still TreVeyon Henderson's backfield. He played 65% of the team's offensive snaps and totaled a team-high 18 carries in the victory. So, Henderson will be a must-start RB play this week against the Giants. New York's defense ranks in the bottom five in fantasy points allowed, rush yards allowed, rush touchdowns allowed, and receptions allowed to the RB position.
That also makes Stevenson a potential flex play in some 12-plus team leagues. The Giants haven't been able to stop the run in recent weeks, and the 27-year-old should see more opportunities than he did a week ago in his first game back from injury.
WR Stefon Diggs
Stefon Diggs has a golden matchup in Week 13 against the Giants. New York just allowed Amon-Ra St. Brown to total nine catches for 149 yards and one touchdown last week while working primarily in the slot. Given that Diggs plays the majority of his snaps in the slot, he could be in for a solid fantasy day. That makes him an easy WR2 play on Sunday.
Matchups We Hate
Even though Tyrone Tracy Jr. has scored at least 16 PPR fantasy points in back-to-back games, he will be a risky fantasy play in Week 13. The Patriots have been one of the best run-stopping defenses in the NFL this season, ranking second in fantasy points allowed, first in rush yards allowed, and first in rush touchdowns allowed. So, it's best to sit Tracy in most formats.
Other Matchups
QB Jaxson Dart
After missing the past two games due to a concussion, Jaxson Dart will make his return in Week 13. Prior to his two missed games, Dart had scored above 19 fantasy points in five straight games (Week 6 to Week 10). So, he will remain a solid QB1 play against the Patriots this week. New England has allowed a top-12 fantasy QB finish in three of the past four games.
WR Wan'Dale Robinson
Wan'Dale Robinson just had the best fantasy game of his career last week, totaling nine catches for 156 yards and one touchdown. While Dart will be returning in this one, that shouldn't really hurt Robinson's fantasy value too much. Therefore, he will remain a high-floor WR2 option against the Patriots.
TE Hunter Henry
Hunter Henry had one of his better fantasy games of the season last week, as he scored 24.5 PPR fantasy points. However, the veteran playmaker will be more of a TE2 option this week against the Giants. New York hasn't allowed a top-12 fantasy TE finish since Week 8.
TE Theo Johnson
Theo Johnson will be a potential TE1 play in some 14-plus team leagues this week. He has scored in double figures in PPR formats in six of the last nine weeks and totaled at least 75 receiving yards in two of the past three games. Given that the Patriots have allowed the fifth-most receptions to opposing TEs this year, fantasy managers can start Johnson in some formats.
