Week 4 Kicker Streamers and Starts - 2024 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

Jake Elliott - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups, Kickers, Streamers

Kacey Kasem examines all 2024 fantasy football Week 4 kickers - streamers, starts, sits, targets, avoids, and waiver wire pickups. Our Week 4 rankings and tiers for all of the NFL kickers.

Welcome back to those who start kickers in fantasy football. In Week 4, I am viewing some solid start and fade options for the kicker position along with my rankings. Selecting the right kicker can often make or break your fantasy roster, so read on to ensure you are making the best decisions.

Week 3 had some noteworthy performances, starting with Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, who set a Dallas franchise record with an impressive 65-yard field goal. A kicker to keep an eye on, Eddy Pineiro of the Carolina Panthers, benefited from Andy Dalton under center. Pineiro was good on all three of his field-goal attempts and all three extra points in the Panthers' win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

These performances remind us just how important the kicker position can be. As we head into Week 4, it is crucial to start the right kicker. With my start/fade advice and rankings, you will gain insights needed to optimize your lineup. Let's jump in and find the best kickers to help your team succeed this week.

Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 4

Only players rostered in fewer than 60% of fantasy football leagues are considered streamers.

Blake Grupe (NO) @ Atlanta Falcons
14.2% Rostered on Sleeper

Blake Grupe is in a great spot heading into Week 4 as he takes on the Atlanta Falcons. Grupe connected on his only two field goals in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles, as the New Orleans Saints offense did not click as it had in the first two weeks.

The good news for Week 4 is that the Notre Dame alum is set to benefit from a favorable matchup with Atlanta. The Falcons rank No. 1 in fantasy points allowed to kickers this season.

In Week 1, Chris Boswell tallied all 18 points in Pittsburgh's win over Atlanta. The Falcons have given up four field goals from 50+ yards and three more from 40-49 yards. Their defense has been generous regarding kickers, especially from long-range.

With the Saints offense trying to bounce back from their last loss, Grupe is positioned for another strong performance in Week 4. Atlanta has consistently surrendered points to kickers, and Grupe should be able to take advantage. He's a solid start for fantasy this week.

Chase McLaughlin (TB) vs Philadelphia Eagles
9.3% Rostered on Sleeper

Coming off a rough game where he scored just one fantasy point, Chase McLaughlin is in a prime spot to rebound this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Philadelphia has given up the ninth-most fantasy points to kickers this season. Teams have been finding success from the 30-39-yard range. Kickers have knocked down five field goals from that distance and three more from 20-29 yards.

Despite last week's struggles, the matchup is favorable for McLaughlin. He should get plenty of chances to gain points in a high-scoring game. The Eagles defense has been generous to opposing kickers, surrendering an average of 9.0 fantasy points per game to the position.

Still under-rostered, McLaughlin should be on more fantasy teams, especially heading into this matchup. If you need a kicker, grab him before this weekend's game. He is set up for a much better performance than Week 3 and should be heavily involved.

Wil Lutz (DEN) @ New York Jets
0% Rostered on Sleeper

Wil Lutz is a kicker flying under the radar in most fantasy leagues, but he should be on more rosters this week. Lutz, the kicker for the Denver Broncos, is coming off a big game where he hit field goals from 43, 38, 33, and 43 yards in the team's Week 3 win.

He has a great matchup in Week 4 against the New York Jets. The Jets have given up the sixth-most fantasy points to kickers this season.

Gang Green have conceded two field goals from 50+ yards and a league-high four from the 40-49-yard range. Additionally, the Jets allowed two more field goals from under 39 yards.

Currently ranked as K7 in fantasy football, the Georgia State product put up 16 fantasy points in Week 3 at Tampa Bay. He is set for a top showing in Week 4 in another promising matchup.

Kickers to Avoid for Week 4

Greg Zuerlein (NYJ) vs Denver Broncos
12.5% Rostered on Sleeper

A kicker to sit this week is Greg Zuerlein of the New York Jets. He is up against the Denver Broncos in Week 4. Denver has been tough on kickers, giving up the sixth-fewest fantasy points this season.

The Broncos have only surrendered four field goals in total this year. Two were from 20-29 yards and two from 50+ yards. Zuerlein's attempts are likely to be limited.

The 36-year-old is sitting at K30 in fantasy leagues and hasn't topped six fantasy points in any game this year. In Week 3 against New England, he finished with just 5.0 fantasy points.

Considering the difficult matchup and Zuerlein's recent lack of scoring, he is best left out of your starting lineup this week. Better options are available, so do not take the chance on him.

Younghoe Koo (ATL) vs. New Orleans Saints
82.1% Rostered on Sleeper

This week, Younghoe Koo is a sit at kicker. The Atlanta Falcons are home against the New Orleans Saints, a team conceding the eighth-fewest fantasy points to kickers this season.

The 30-year-old has had his moments, but this matchup doesn't look to be one where he can rack up points. The Falcons' offense has been middle-of-the-pack, gaining 922 yards in three games.

While that is not awful, it is not enough to consistently put Koo into scoring position, especially with the Saints' defense limiting kickers all year. It is hard to count on him this week.

With Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, and Alvin Kamara leading the charge for the Saints, Derek Carr should be able to keep New Orleans in control. That should equate to fewer field goal attempts for Koo, making him a kicker to sit for Week 4.
