Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Outlooks
Some of the top waiver wire names include Hogan Harris, Antonio Senzatela, Alex Lange, Bryce Miller, Gage Jump and more. Read some of the waiver wire outlooks below:
Hogan Harris, Athletics
The Athletics are currently using a closer-by-committee approach to the ninth inning. Still, left-handed reliever Hogan Harris might deserve some more consideration off the waiver wire from fantasy managers in need of saves in the future.
The 29-year-old southpaw has been a reliable late-inning option for the A's this year and picked up his third win of 2026 in Wednesday night's 5-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, throwing a hitless and scoreless inning with no walks and two strikeouts.
Justin Sterner ended up with the save in the ballgame, but Harris, Mark Leiter Jr., and Scott Barlow are still the best ninth-inning options for manager Mark Kotsay. Since blowing his first save of the year on April 28 against the Kansas City Royals, Harris has tightened things up with three earned runs allowed, seven walks, 16 strikeouts, four saves, three holds, and a win in 15 appearances for the A's.
He has not allowed a run in 12 of his last 13 appearances. Fantasy managers should jump on Harris now, and he's only rostered in 11% of Yahoo leagues.
Antonio Senzatela, Colorado Rockies
ESPN's Jeff Passan writes that Colorado Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela is a "no-brainer" trade candidate this year and is "as good as gone" since he'll be a free agent after the 2026 season. Passan adds that the Rockies are still years away from contending, and "nobody on their roster is untouchable."
In addition to Senzatela, outfielder Mickey Moniak (ankle) and catcher Hunter Goodman could also be moved by early August, at the right price. Other players that could attract interest at this year's trade deadline include infielders TJ Rumfield, Troy Johnston, and Willi Castro, starting pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano, and relievers Brennan Bernardino and Jaden Hill.
Senzatela, in particular, has gone from a terrible starting pitcher to one of the best relievers in the game this season. The 31-year-old Venezuelan hurler and 10-year veteran is currently sporting a 5-0 record, 1.30 ERA (3.30 FIP), 0.89 WHIP, three saves, and a 26:10 K:BB in 34 2/3 innings out of the 'pen. Senzatela has an xwOBA of .283 and an expected ERA of 3.17, so regression is expected the rest of the way.
Alex Lange, Kansas City Royals
Kansas City Royals relief pitcher Alex Lange picked up his first save of the season on Wednesday in his 25th appearance. He gave up a hit and a walk but didn't allow any runs, making a 5-2 lead stand up against the Reds. Lange had 26 saves in 2023 with the Tigers, but he has a 4.33 ERA and 3.77 FIP in his 27 innings in 25 games this year.
With Lucas Erceg struggling and Carlos Estevez (shoulder) sidelined, the Royals' bullpen does offer some interesting save opportunities. Lange could be a part of the committee while Estevez continues to work his way back, and he's trending up after allowing only one run in his last 10 games. He's still a speculative addition at this point, but in deep leagues, he's definitely worth watching on the waiver wire if you need saves.
Bryce Miller, Seattle Mariners
Seattle Mariners right-hander Bryce Miller had his 2026 season delayed by an oblique strain that he suffered in spring training. However, the 27-year-old has been effective since returning in mid-May, recording a 1-0 record with a 1.71 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, and 20 strikeouts across 21 innings (four games).
While Miller made one appearance as a reliever as Seattle manages its impressive rotation depth, he's pitched at least five innings in all four of his outings. The young right-hander owns an impressive 21.5% K-BB rate that is buoyed by his elite 3.8% walk rate.
After posting a 5.68 ERA across 90 1/3 innings in 2025, Miller appears to be back to the form he displayed in 2024, when he logged a 2.94 ERA across 180 1/3 innings. In any leagues where he's not already rostered, Miller should be a priority waiver wire target with upside for fantasy managers.
Gage Jump, Athletics
Athletics pitching prospect Gage Jump made his MLB debut last Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners, allowing nine hits and four earned runs while striking out five across five innings of work. While the 23-year-old's first start in the majors was a bit of a struggle, he remains a potentially intriguing starting pitching option for fantasy managers. However, he shut down the Cubs in his previous start by allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings.
Across 38 innings (nine starts) with Triple-A Las Vegas before his promotion, Jump pitched to a 4.50 ERA and 1.47 WHIP with 56 strikeouts. Particularly given that he will be making his home starts in the hitter-friendly Sutter Health Park, Jump may not provide much value in the ERA and WHIP categories for fantasy managers.
However, the young lefty carries significant strikeout upside after posting strikeout rates of 33.1% and 28.4% in the minors in 2026 and 2025, respectively. Fantasy managers in need of whiffs may want to consider targeting Jump on the waiver wire ahead of a potential breakout.
