On Saturday evening, the NASCAR Cup Series held the qualifying session to set the starting lineup for this weekend's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
This weekend's race will officially kick off the Round of 8 in the Playoffs, as we're down to just four races left until a new Cup Series Champion is crowned.
The qualifying session consisted of just one round, as is the current protocol for many Cup Series races this season.
