Even with three wins already this season, Matt Fitzpatrick has been knocking on the door for a while. With three top 5s in his last four starts and firmly taking hold of the lead in average strokes gained on approach for the season (0.846), it's only a matter of time before he lifts another trophy. His time at the Open Championship hasn't been as fruitful as at other majors, mainly due to spotty short-game play. That was also the reason for his shortcomings at the Renaissance Club.
